Elon Musk has, since he bought Twitter and got even more deeply involved in posting on and interacting on the platform, started to drift right on social issues, or at least start openly paying attention to right-of-center viewpoints on crime and illegal immigration.
The first eye-popping tweet of his was on interracial crime and who tends to commit it on a per-capita basis, along with how the media frames the issue:
Odd, why would the media misrepresent the real situation to such an extreme degree?

In another tweet on the racism subject, he noticed how the leftist sources marched in lockstep on the “racism” issue while the supposedly conservative WSJ was just a few years behind on the same issue:
Remarkable how @nytimes, @latimes & @washingtonpost moved in lockstep, with @WSJ trailing by ~6 months

Then Elon started noticing the border crisis and got involved in commenting on that issue. In response to a video ostensibly showing a vast number of illegals crossing the border, Elon said, “I don’t think the American public understands that people from all countries are crossing the southern border, as it is so easy to do so.” The video on which Musk was commenting was posted by Collin Rugg, who said:
BREAKING: Texas has deployed their own Texas Tactical Border Force as migrants wait to storm the border once Title 42 ends.
The Texas National Guard is readying Black Hawk helicopters and C-130s as they brace for an invasion along the southern border.
– El Paso says 15,000 are waiting to enter once Title 42 ends
– El Paso has declared a state of emergency
– Abbott has deployed 10,000 National Guard members
– 13,000 illegals are entering the U.S. every day and this number is expected to increase
The Commander In Chief has failed to protect our country.
Here’s the shocking video on which Elon commented:

Elon also argued that the illegal immigration waves are an invasion. In response to a tweet saying, “No, America is seeing an influx of immigration and refugees. Ukraine is being invaded,” Elon said, “It’s not a military invasion like Ukraine, but it’s also inaccurate to refer to everyone crossing the border as a refugee.”

Unfortunately, however, Elon is still to the left on the immigration question. Commenting on legal immigration, he said, “I think we should significantly increase legal immigration. If someone has a track record of working hard and hasn’t committed crimes, they should be welcomed.”
Fox News Digital, reporting on the situation at the border as Title 42 is set to expire, said:
Assuming a court order doesn’t interrupt the process, Title 42 will lapse on May 11 at 11:59 pm.
The news has been met with a clear response at the southern border, as tens of thousands of migrants are reportedly surging at the U.S.-Mexico border ahead of Title 42’s expiration.
In the Texas border city of El Paso, about 2,200 migrants are currently camped or living on the streets a few blocks from major ports of entry that connect El Paso with the Mexican city of Juárez. The city is prepared to open up shelters next week if needed at two vacant school buildings and a civic center.
Three cities in Texas have declared a state of emergency, including El Paso, Brownsville and Laredo.
