More than a week after a majority of respondents to Elon Musk’s poll affirmed that Donald Trump should have his ban lifted on the social media platform, the former president made his first move to his account in what many hope is the first of many.
A subtle update can now be seen in Trump’s profile, which directs users to a campaign donation link.

Trump’s ban was reversed last Sunday after a 24-hour pool conducted by new Twitter owner and CEO Elon Musk. Up to almost 90 million followers, there has been no perceptible activity until this latest update. It could simply be an attempt to solicit donations from the 90 million followers and it could also just be free publicity, as Trump knows every single thing he does will be monitored and reported.
The question put forth by Musk that brought Trump back was very simple: Should Donald Trump be reinstated, yes or no. In all, more than 15 million responses were tabulated and ended with over 52% of users saying he should.
In reply, Musk said straightforwardly:
The people have spoken.”
“Trump will be reinstated.”
“Vox Populi, Vox Dei.
Immediately, and predictably, anyone in or near the leftist orbit went into a frantic tailspin. Pundits lamented Musk was giving a voice and credibility to white supremacy. Perhaps the most absurd and widely used claim was that democracy was threatened by having more people participate.
Democracy wasn’t threatened when a sitting U.S. President was banned; it was when he returned as a private citizen. Got it.
Failed congressman Adam Kinzinger, most famous for fake crying at a January 6th hearing and retweeting wartime propaganda, made an appearance on MSNBC on “the verge of tears” as one Twitter user said.

Well, look, I mean, I get that people are on all sides of this debate, the fact that he did it with a poll of which, you know, however, many percent of those could have been bought that aren’t real people voting in that.
Secondarily, I don’t know if, you know, that decision should be made by some poll. I mean, what happened – remember specifically when this was all done, so not only was he lighting and accelerating the fire on January 6, also before January 6, with his conspiracies – at the end of the day, he said,
‘This is what you get when a victory is so unceremoniously basically taken away from the American people.’
So not only when it was done, did he have any remorse? He said, Well, of course, you guys had an insurrection? Because that’s what you get when you steal an election.
I mean, I remember seeing that specific tweet and just being outraged at how after all this is done, can you still do that? And so now this idea that he’s gonna come on and be reformed, everybody knows he won’t. And by the way, I’ll say as a quick aside, the person probably the most upset today is Devin Nunez because this is going to take Truth Social if it does, in fact, leave.
