A Minnesota churchgoer, Ann Doucette, filed a civil lawsuit against irritating former CNN anchor Don Lemon and other protesters for disrupting a January 18 worship service at Cities Church in St. Paul during an anti-ICE riot in which he was involved, an incident for which he was arrested and charged by the DOJ.
For context, the suit alleges the mob’s actions caused her “severe emotional distress, fear, anxiety, and trauma” and interfered with her religious freedom. Lemon, who livestreamed the event, reportedly collaborated on logistics and appeared satisfied with the disruption. However, he maintains that he was only there as a journalist and pleaded not guilty to related federal charges. Damages sought are unspecified.
In any case, one of the parishioners at the church, Ann Doucette, declared “severe emotional distress” from Don Lemon and others for their role in the anti-ICE riot at Cities Church. She also pointed out that she was suffering from “severe emotional distress, fear, anxiety, and trauma.”
The lawsuit also pointed to “logistics and local contacts in support of the operation” as evidence of Lemons’ alleged involvement in the riot, noting that he “appeared to take satisfaction in the disruption” during the frightening ordeal.
Adding more context, DHS head Kristi Noem stated, “Homeland Security Investigators and FBI agents arrested Nekima Levy Armstrong, who played a key role in orchestrating the Church Riots in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is being charged with a federal crime under 18 USC 241.”
Refusing to accept any responsibility, Don Lemon claimed, “The process is the punishment with [the Trump administration],” adding, “Like all of you here in Minnesota, the great people of Minnesota, I will not back down, I will not be intimidated, I will fight these baseless charges, I will not be silenced.”
“I’m not a protester. I’m here covering the protest. I’m not with them,” Lemon claimed in an appearance in the media, “And they were, you know, they just for some reason could not understand. So why they couldn’t figure that out, I don’t know.”

Confirming the news, a local reporter added, “A member of Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, has filed a federal lawsuit against a group of activists and journalists, including Don Lemon and Nekima Levy Armstrong, accusing them of unlawfully disrupting a worship service on January 18.”
