The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) recently uncovered millions of concerning entries in the Social Security Administration database, which indicates that some individuals who arer 150 years old are receiving benefits. Musk, the head of DOGE, reacted to the findings on X, claiming “vampires” must be gaming the system.
The findings within the Social Security database came as Musk and DOGE have been charged with reining in the federal government by cutting wasteful spending, eliminating fraud, and more. Musk shared a data table on X, which showed thousands of Americans supposedly between the ages of 150 and 200 years old. Shockingly, there was one entry between the ages of 240 and 249 years old with in another between 360 and 369 years old.
“According to the Social Security database, these are the numbers of people in each age bucket with the death field set to FALSE! Maybe Twilight is real and there are a lot of vampires collecting Social Security,” Musk wrote on X. “As a friend of mine described it, this is like an amazing puzzle, uncovering the secrets of an ancient civilization that went extinct … except it’s still around ” he added.
Furthermore, President Donald Trump also spoke about the puzzling findings within the social security database during a recent press conference. The president said, “200 to 209 years old, 879 people from 210 years old, I haven’t met any of them, and if I did, I would bless them. I would worship the ground they walk on.”
Trump continued, “210 to 219 years 866. From 220 years old to 229 years old, 1,039 and then you have two people from 240 years old to 249 years old, one person, and there’s one person that’s 360 years old. That’s just that. And then, where’s the money being spent?”
Additionally, The Tribune reported that a top Social Security official resigned after facing scrutiny from DOGE employees. According to reports, acting commissioner Michelle King stepped down from her post after engaging in a conflict with DOGE officials attempting to access the administration’s internal data.
King was replaced with Leland Dudek who vowed to restore transparency under his leadership. “My first call as Acting Commissioner was to our Inspector General’s office to provide them an opportunity to oversee and review any and all agency activities, including my actions past, present, and future. Transparency is at the heart of good government,” he said.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields said, “In the meantime, the agency will be led by a career Social Security anti-fraud expert as the acting commissioner.” He added, “President Trump is committed to appointing the best and most qualified individuals who are dedicated to working on behalf of the American people, not to appease the bureaucracy that has failed them for far too long.”
Last week, Musk called out serious issues with the Social Security Administration’s data, writing on X, “The logic flow diagram for the Social Security system looks INSANE. No one person actually knows how it works. The payment files that move between Social Security and Treasury have significant inconsistencies that are not reconciled. It’s wild.”
