Ever since President Donald Trump established the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) via executive order on the first day of his presidency, Elon Musk has been hard at work slashing excess spending and corruption. Predictably, Democrats have freaked out about his doing so, furious at his willingness to slash their pork programs.
Amongst those who led the charge against Elon and for government corruption was Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who tried claiming that Elon Musk was acting like a “shadow government” who was essentially launching a coup of the federal government. Elon shot down those accusations brilliantly.
Kicking things off, Sen. Schumer took to X to attack DOGE, saying, “An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government. DOGE is not a real government agency. DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions. DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law. DOGE’s conduct cannot be allowed to stand. Congress must take action to restore the rule of law.”
Elon quickly responded to Schumer on X, using his own platform to demolish the woke Senator. He said, slamming Schumer, “Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that @DOGE is doing work that really matters. This is the one shot the American people have to defeat BUREAUcracy, rule of the bureaucrats, and restore DEMOcracy, rule of the people.”
Continuing, Elon said that this is the American people’s last big chance to try cleaning out their government and that we all need to support this “revolution of the people.” He said, “We’re never going to get another chance like this. It’s now or never. Your support is crucial to the success of the revolution of the people.”
Schumer also went on the attack against Elon in a speech on the Senate floor, saying, “The American people will not stand for an un-elected secret group to run rampant through the executive branch. Being innovative is good, but Mr. Musk, this isn’t a tech startup. These are public institutions.”
Responding to that, Elon said, “He’s mad that @DOGE is dismantling the radical-left shadow government in full view of the public. This is our ONE CHANCE to return POWER to the PEOPLE from an unelected BUREAUcracy back to DEMOcracy!! Only with the support of YOU can this succeed. Thank you, unknown soldiers.” Watch Schumer here:

Schumer wasn’t the only Democratic politician Elon slammed. Another funny incident began when MSNBC’s Kyle Griffin said, “The USAID systems that Elon Musk’s DOGE team tried to access included personnel files and security systems — including on classified systems beyond the security level of at least some of the DOGE employees. The systems also included security clearance information for agency employees.”
Responding to that, Sen. Chris Coons said, “According to Chapter 18 of the U.S. Code, attempting to access classified documents without proper security clearance is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The rule of law should apply to everyone.” Elon responded, torching him, “Does that apply to you too? Because …”
In another post, Elon torched Jamie Raskin, who also attacked him, saying, “What Raskin actually means is that he wants his kickbacks and bribes to continue. US lobbying/law firms who launder foreign donations (which are actually US taxpayer foreign aid coming full circle!) need to be investigated and shut down.”
