Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has received much-deserved scorn and anger in response to comments she made on Thursday, September 11, in the wake of the assassination of Turning Point USA founder and beloved Trump ally Charlie Kirk, with many online demanding that she be expelled from Congress over her horrific comments.
As background, the Thursday interview was a streamed one with former MSNBC anchor Medhi Hasan, and during it, Rep. Omar primarily attacked conservatives rather than the left, insisting that those on the right who have argued in the wake of Kirk’s assassination that political violence is a left-wing problem are “disgusting” and “full of shit.”
Beginning her horrid screed, Ilhan insisted that Trump was in the wrong because he was not filled with “compassion” for the murderer and those who encouraged him, saying, “It reminds you that although these people pretend to be adults that they are sometimes, they think a lot less than even children do when it comes to compassion, when it comes to thoughtfulness, when it comes to being a leader. I did expect the president’s address to the nation would have been a lot more compassionate-filled, it would have been less partisan.”
Continuing, she insisted that the Antifa and pro-transgender messaging on the shell casings found wasn’t enough to insist that the killer, who has since been revealed via testimony from a former friend as a leftist, was one. In fact, she said, “He doesn’t even know who the assassin is. For him to say it’s a left-wing lunatic, it kind of denigrated his status and the status of the office he holds.”
Adding to that, Rep. Omar insinuated that Mr. Kirk’s call for armed security at schools was enough of a sin to justify his murder in cold blood at the hands of the assassin, saying, “What I do know for sure is that Charlie was someone who once said ‘guns save lives’ after a school shooting.”
Further insinuating that Mr. Kirk’s murder was justified because of his political opinions, Omar said, “Charlie was someone who was willing to debate and downplay the death of George Floyd in the hands of Minneapolis police… have no regard, downplay slavery and what black people have gone through in this country by saying Juneteenth should never exist.”
That’s when she started openly insisting that Republicans are the bad guys here, saying, “There is nothing more effed up than to completely pretend that his words and actions have not been recorded and in existence for the last decade or so. You have people like Nancy Mace who constantly harass people that she finds inferior and wants them not to exist in this country or ever, and you have people like Trump who has incited violence against people like me.”

She added, “And so, these people are full of shit and it’s important for us to call them out. While we feel anger and sadness and have empathy — which Charlie said shouldn’t exist because that’s a “newly created word” or something. Like, I have empathy for his kids and his wife and what they’re going through because I do not want that for my family.” Watch her here:
If you ever questioned just what kind of Somalian @IlhanMN is, this thread will say everything you need to know.
It’s time to remove this legitimate threat from not only Congress but also America. Mehdi Hasan should be deported, too.

As could be expected, calls demanding her to be expelled from Congress for her horrific comments exploded online in the wake of the interview airing. For example, Gunther Eagleman said, “Dear @SpeakerJohnson, Ilhan Omar needs to be expelled from Congress. After that, @RealTomHoman
needs to have ICE pick her up and deport her back to Somalia, along with all the others in Minnesota. They are a threat to this nation. It’s that simple.”
Similarly, The Federalist’s Sean Davis said, “Expelling Omar from Congress, denaturalizing her, and sending her back is the moderate position.” Also chiming in was Congressman Randy Fine (R-FL), who wrote, “The only terrorist here is Ilhan Omar. Denaturalize and DEPORT.” Many others chimed in with similar messages, demanding she be expelled from Congress and the country.
