Famous actor Dennis Quaid recently expressed his admiration for former President Donald Trump after he visited minority communities in New York City. The GOP frontrunner recently hosted a massive rally in the heat of the South Bronx, where his campaign claims as many as 25,000 people showed up.
Quaid, who stars in the upcoming movie “Reagan,” made an appearance on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” where he praised Trump for his initiatives to reach out and campaign with minority voters, making him more “human.”
“I really admire Trump for going into the neighborhoods,” Quaid said to Jesse Watters. “You know, people relate to that. They really do. If anything, all these events that been conspiring against him have actually made him more human to people.”
Quaid further addressed Trump’s agenda to abolish the deep state within the federal government and fire thousands of leftist unelected bureaucrats. According to Quaid, the claims that such rhetoric is dictatorial are baseless, where it was what voters are asking of Trump.
“Donald Trump has been talking about cleaning house, which, you know, kind of making a clean sweep to start over. That doesn’t mean being a dictator. That just means that we started doing what the American people have asked us to do.”
The American Tribune covered recent reports from MSNBC, where the network was shut down by Trump supporters at the Bronx rally after it was suggested that Trump could be racist. Attendees at the rally also voiced their frustrations with President Biden, their lack of concern for Trump’s legal issues, and more.
One Trump supporter told MSNBC correspondent Dasha Burns that she was not worried about Trump’s ongoing legal battles. “No not at all. I think he’s going to be elected the president because everyone still wants him as the president. So to me, it doesn’t matter.”
Another person criticized President Biden, proclaiming, “You have disrespected the people of the city in New York. This was the this was the best city in the world. We’re not the the great Apple anymore. We know the Big Apple we have a rotten apple.”
“[Biden] went on to Charlemagne to God show and said ‘You ain’t black’ if you don’t vote for him. I’m black because that’s how I was born and what I am and Trump and he’s gonna be the man that can save this country,” another individual stated, voicing his frustration with Biden’s infamous “you ain’t black” comment.
Furthermore, even the left-leaning news outlet CNN is sounding the alarm after the recent Trump rally, illustrating why Biden should be concerned. The network explained that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee is pulling minority voters away from President Biden.
“So we saw a trend among Hispanic voters from 2016 to 2020, where they became less democratic look at the trend. that we’re seeing right now in the polling, right. So if you look back at Hispanic voters at this point in the 2020 cycle, Joe Biden had a 25 point lead. Look at where that lead is today. It’s just seven points. Donald Trump right now at 44%,” said CNN data reporter Harry Enten.
