Democrats in More Trouble as Key Swing State Senator Gets Awful Reelection News

Controversial Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is in a tough spot as he faces increasingly grim reelection prospects. A recent poll found that almost half of Pittsburgh Democrats view Fetterman unfavorably, compared to 13% for Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro.

For context, rumors have long swirled about Fetterman’s health; he suffered a stroke during his 2022 campaign, which affected his speech and ability to hear. This year, New York Magazine wrote an article that highlighted growing concerns among his staff about his ongoing physical issues.

Consequently, some democrats see this as a fatal blow to his chances of retaining his seat. An anonymous insider said, “In Pittsburgh, this is a break-glass, freak-out moment for Fetterman,” referring to the recent damning poll numbers.

However, he has maintained support among some Democrats. For instance, U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) wrote, “I know a hit piece when I see one. The only reason for the coordinated campaign against Senator John Fetterman is his unapologetic pro-Israel politics. Let’s call it what it is.”

Continuing her endorsement, Torres stated in an X post. “As someone who has struggled with depression my whole adult life, I can tell you that if you truly care about someone’s mental health, leaking hit pieces against them is a strange way of showing it.”

Surprisingly, Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA) also disputed the rumors. He begged Democrats to “stop these vicious, personal attacks against Senator Fetterman, his wife, and his health,” adding, “While we have many differences, we are both committed to working together to achieve results for the people of Pennsylvania and make their lives better.”

Seemingly in response to the Democrats’ betrayal, Fetterman has been growing closer to the president. Reacting to the shameful TDS typical of the DNC, he said, “A sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance. It only makes Trump look more presidential and restrained. We’re becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to—and it may not be the winning message.”

Similarly, Fetterman has applauded Trump’s Middle East policy. The Palestinian Democrat said, “Free all the hostages or start killing Hamas members again. I fully agree with @POTUS,” echoing Trump’s earlier remarks on Truth social.

Slamming the Palestinian terror group, Trump declared, “Shalom Hamas” means Hello and Goodbye – You can choose. Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you,” the President said on Truth Social.

Continuing his epic takedown, the President promised to make the terrorists pay for their actions. He stated, “Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted! I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say,” adding ” I have just met with your former Hostages whose lives you have destroyed. This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance.”
