“Democrats Have Totally Lost the Plot”: Trump White House Goes Nuclear after Democrats, RINOs Oppose Tax Cuts that Would Aid Working Americans, Senior Citizens

Firing back with vehement disagreement in a tweet and official press release put out by the White House, the Trump Administration set the record straight on the “big, beautiful” bill that President Trump wants Congress to pass, noting that those attacking it are opposing a major tax cut for the Americans who need it most.

The outrage has long been building as a great many RINOs in the Senate and Democrats in both chambers of Congress have held up passage of the bill, which would make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent while also adding tax cuts for seniors, end taxation on tips and overtime, and do things like add funding for defending the border.

But what appears to have sparked the White House’s recent statements is that Sen. Jack Reed, a Democrat from Rhode Island, appeared on MSNBC and told the woke co-hosts of the far-left “The Weeknight” program that the Trump budget is “bad for our country, bad for our families, bad for everyone.”

Firing back in a furious tweet, the Rapid Response 47 X account, which is an official account run by the White House, argued that the leftist senator and those who agree with him have “lost the plot” if they think cutting taxes is bad for the American people, whether as a whole or as families.

In that fury-filled post, the White House account said, “.@SenJackReed thinks middle class tax cuts, expanded child tax credits, and funding to secure our border—all included in the One Big Beautiful Bill—are ‘bad for our country’ and ‘bad for our families.’ Democrats have totally lost the plot.”

The White House also responded in an official press release. Beginning, the release said, “HOAX: The One Big Beautiful Bill is ‘bad for our families.’” Continuing, it added, “FACT: Democrats have totally lost the plot — opposing middle class tax cuts, an expanded child tax credit, border security, and more.”

Continuing, the White House went on to justify that position. Beginning to do so, it said, “They’re opposing the largest tax cut in history, which will put an extra $5,000 in their pockets with a double-digit percent decrease to their tax bills. In fact, Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000 will pay around 15% less in taxes.”

Building on that, it started rattling off specific examples of how the new bill will, if passed by Congress, help Americans. It said, “They’re opposing NO TAX ON TIPS for the millions of Americans who work in the service industry and NO TAX ON OVERTIME for law enforcement, nurses, and more. They’re opposing historic tax cuts for senior citizens.”

Not done, the White House press release rattled off yet more ways it will help American families, saying, “They’re opposing a boost to the child tax credit. They’re opposing new savings accounts for newborns and the chance for children across America to experience the miracle of compounded growth.”

Adding yet more examples, it said, “They’re opposing expanded access to childcare for hardworking American families. They’re opposing historic border security to keep their communities safe. They’re opposing expanded health savings accounts that give Americans greater choice and flexibility in how they spend their money. They’re opposing scholarships that empower Americans to choose the education that best fits the needs of their families.”
