A conservative journalist was recently roughed up by the security detail of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), prompting condemnation from the reporter and conservatives online. Nick Sotor, the journalist at the center of this controversy, approached Waters, asking her about her remarks about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), kicking off the physical interaction.
As we reported, Maxine Waters has made several shocking proclamations about DOGE and President Trump. She ranted, “What does Trump expect? Oh, I know. He expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working to a civil war,” in remarks that many interpreted as an endorsement of political violence.
In any case, during the chaotic February 10 incident, conservative journalist Nick Sotor called out to the California Democrat about her remarks. He said, “She’s got to go get in her big black taxpayer-funded SUV. That’s what happens when you don’t have transparency in the government. Why do you deserve a big black taxpayer-funded SUV? Is that why you’re so against DOGE?”
Continuing to fire away at the woke representative, he asked, “Is that what the problem is? What’s up with the lack of transparency in your life? What’s the problem with transparency? What the f*ck are you Why are you pushing? What is the problem with those? What is the problem?”
Reacting to the altercation on social media, Sotor went into the details. He stated, “🚨 #BREAKING: Maxine Waters and her entourage attempted to steal my phone TWICE after I asked her why she’s so against government transparency. Democrats are VIOLENT.”
Blasting Waters for the shameful display, Sotor noted, “Of course, she had no answers, so the next step was to was to try to confiscate the device used to record her being frazzled and unable to answer questions. The look Maxine gave me when I mentioned her taxpayer funded SUV was PRICELESS 🤣 WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED. No matter how much they try to intimidate us.”
Enraged by the unaccountable Democrat, users flocked to the comments to express their feelings. One user said, “Careful brother! Democrats are violent and they do not care” Responding to this message, the journalists replied, “From now on, I will wear body cameras in addition to my handheld cameras. I dare the Democrats to come at me. I dare them. Let’s play.”

Criticizing Waters for her bad behavior, one comment noted, “They never want to be held accountable for their language to incite violence..The entire RALLY was about inciting violence. Then they try to play the victim here. Lol.” Agreeing, another user called out the blatant double standard, saying, “She will scream lies and insults aimed at Elon Musk and Donald Trump into a microphone but she will never answer simple questions. And that’s because she and her fellow democrats stole HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS from the American people.”

Rounding out the comments, many conservatives called for the Democrat to face consequences for her actions. One such comment declared, “@SpeakerJohnson we saw @SenMcConnell in a wheelchair today and @RepMaxineWaters barely able to walk. We must have #TermLimitsNow it’s enough! This guy didn’t deserve to be shoved because he was calling her out! Look at the rhetoric she’s been screeching for decades! No, it’s time.”
