Democrat Sentenced to Over a Year in Prison For Threatening to Attack, Shoot MAGA Supporters

Desiree Doreen Segari, 41, of Sarasota, Florida, has officially been sentenced to 14 months in a federal prison by U.S. District Judge Katheryn Kimball Mizell for interstate communication of a threat to injure. A federal jury found Segari guilty of the crime on January 13, 2026. The sentence was announced publicly by U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. Segari was indicted for her infraction on September 18, 2025.

On August 17, 2025, Segari made a video and published it on social media platform TikTok where she called for MAGA supporters to be shot on sight. The video was produced as evidence during her trial. In the clip, Segari said, “so if we all get our guns and use our second amendment right…and you see somebody with a MAGA hat, ‘pew pew’ that’s what we do, that’s the way, it’s the only way.”

Segari made hand gestures to mimic the firing of a gun while saying, “pew, pew” in the video. She then stated, “Put them back in their basements, make them scared again to be racist, homophobic, and terrible just awful [expletive],” and “MAGA people deserve to be terrified and scared to walk in the streets because they should know that real Americans are gonna [mouths expletive] kill them.”

According to a press release from the Justice Department, when Segari posted the video, she captioned it, “#seemagapewpewmaga starting a new trend, hope it catches on. Please spread the word. Share this video. Repost it. Use the hashtag all over the internet. Let’s go guys. It’s time to fight back in a potentially effective manner.”

The following day, Segari put up another video on TikTok, in which she said, “See MAGA pew pew MAGA, see MAGA pew pew MAGA, see MAGA pew pew MAGA so these [expletive] know we ain’t here to play” again using hand gestures to mime firing a weapon. The case was soon investigated by agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Sinacore soon thereafter.

MAGA supporters have experienced a massive spike in violent acts and rhetoric from radical leftists, culminating in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk in September 2025. Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was attending an event in Utah when he was shot in the neck by a transgender supporting assassin.

Add to that three attempts on President Donald Trump’s life, the first taking place during the 2024 presidential election cycle. A gunman’s bullet grazed the president’s ear, but fortunately did not leave him with serious injuries. Following the actual shooting, Trump, surrounded by Secret Service agents, rose to his feet and told the audience to “fight, fight, fight,” creating an iconic image that many conservatives feel captured the essence of his character.

Popular conservative influencer LibsOfTikTok shared Segari’s video on Facebook. One user on the platform commented on it, saying, “Did she make a TikTok after she was sentenced? I wanna see that one.” Another user hilariously pointed out, “Now you cannot be in possession of a firearm after catching a felony!” Someone else wrote, “Well, on today’s episode on how to get your OWN personal FBI case officer…”
