Shelitha Robertson, a registered Democrat who used to serve as an Atlanta assistant attorney, was sentenced by a federal judge to seven years in prison. Before her arrest, Robertson appeared on a podcast to discuss how seriously she takes accountability. Despite her moralizing, she was convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of money laundering, and three counts of wire fraud.
According to the authorities, Robertson and her accomplices made fraudulent applications to the Paycheck Protection Program during the pandemic. The conspirators inflated the number of employees at four of her businesses and used her ill-gotten gains to purchase a Rolls Royce, a 10-carat diamond ring, and to donate $1,000 to Democrat Fannie Willis. Overall she stole nearly $15,000,000.
U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan explained the case and the wrongdoing of the quite corrupt Democrat in a Department of Justice (DOJ) filing. Doing so, the judge explained how “Robertson allegedly stole millions of dollars in taxpayer money intended to help small businesses stay afloat during the pandemic.”
He also explained how the loans were intended to be used, “CARES Act loans were designed to help sustain small businesses during the pandemic, not to serve as a source of personal enrichment. We will continue to vigorously investigate and prosecute anyone who fraudulently obtains these critical funds.”
Ironically, the Shelitha Robertson, 62, made a public appearance where she spoke about the importance of integrity. Robertson explained that she’d rather suffer than sacrifice her honor to take a bribe. She said, “I choose integrity and whatever else it brings. I don’t choose selling your soul to the devil… because that means I’m willing to do anything, belittle myself, and degrade myself for the love of $1.”
She continued to make herself look even more guilty by explaining, “I’m not gonna do it. My integrity, what my kids and how my kids respect me and view me mean more to me than me earning a quick dollar, portraying to be something that I’m, or it may they may well, they very well may be that way. That might be true… I’m not there to judge.”

Social media users were quick to make fun of the corrupt Democrat. One reply read, “A Democrat prosecutor in Atlanta is now in jail for stealing $15 million in Covid funds $15 MILLION This “public servant” bought a Rolls Royce and a 10 carat diamond ting And people think Joe Biden actually won Georgia in 2020 getting more black votes than Obama? What a joke.”
Another said, “Are we supposed to pretend this kind of corruption isn’t happening all over the country on a daily basis in government?” A reply to the previous post read, “Georgia has already admitted to counting non existing ballots Fanni willis is corrupt and went after trump The young thug Judge is incompetent and in league with the prosecution. Now you have this.”
Some users strived for a balanced take. One of these users wrote, “I’m not saying Republicans aren’t corrupt as well. But it sure seems like a lot of Democrats are in the news these days. But they wouldn’t steal an election for sure…” Another noticed, “At this point it seems 95% of congress is corrupt AF, all government agencies needs to be gutted and all employees need to be investigated.”
