Hernando County Democratic Party Chair Brian Stewart was arrested Saturday on a misdemeanor simple battery charge after a confrontation at a “No Kings” protest in Spring Hill near Cortez and Mariner Boulevards. Hernando County Conservatives claim that Stewart shoved a disabled military veteran counter-protester and struck him in the head with a megaphone.

A 12-second video shows Stewart accusing the man of pouring a drink on him, asking, “Are you out of your mind?”, then pushing him with the megaphone. The veteran shouted, “It’s on video! F*** you!” Stewart was booked at 12:47 p.m., bonded out at 2:50 p.m. for $1,000, and has a county arraignment on April 27.

Breaking the news, prominent conservative Libs of TikTok stated, “BREAKING: Hernando County, FL Democratic Party Chair Brian Stewart was ARRESTED after allegedly assaulting a disabled military veteran counter protester at a ‘No Kings’ protest.”

The Hernando County Democratic Party released a statement, following the violence, which said, “The Hernando County Democratic Party strongly condemns violence. We have been made aware that our Chair, Brian Stewart, was arrested after responding to a provocation from a local agitator who threw a drink on him and yelled obscenities at community members during a protest. We are monitoring the incident.”

The Florida GOP countered, “.@FlaDems Hernando County Chair Brian Stewart was arrested for violently attacking a disabled veteran at the far-left “No Kings” rally yesterday. Radical liberals are spiraling out of control! Where is the condemnation from @NikkiFried and Democrat leadership?”

The Hernando County Conservatives organization slammed Stewart for shoving a disabled military veteran, adding, “This highlights the growing intolerance and dangerous radicalism within certain elements of the Democrat Party in Hernando County and across the nation.”

Likewise, Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power stated, “Violence and political intimidation have no place in our state, and Floridians deserve better than mere silence from Democrat leadership. Nikki Fried must immediately remove Brian Stewart from his position of leadership in the Florida Democrat Party!”

“The fact that this occurred at a far-left ‘No Kings’ protest only underscores how dangerous and inflammatory rhetoric from the radical Left continues to spill over into real-world violence. Leadership is measured by action, and the silence from Florida Democrats is deafening,” he added.

“Political violence must have consequences,” Power concluded, noting that the event“highlights the growing intolerance and dangerous radicalism within certain elements of the Democrat Party in Hernando County and across the nation.”

The same source explained, “The radical left has already killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk in a political assassination and attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump. Such targeted attacks on patriotic Americans and conservatives cannot be tolerated and demonstrate the dangerous consequences of inflammatory rhetoric from the radical left.

“Our veterans deserve our utmost respect and gratitude, not physical assault for their political views. The MAGA movement stands for Making America Great Again through patriotism, strong borders, economic prosperity, and law and order. These are values shared by millions of law-abiding Americans, including many veterans,” Powe said to conclude his remarks.
