Recently, the box office hit “Sound of Freedom” reached a massive milestone, despite receiving heavy criticism from the mainstream media. “Sound of Freedom” portrays a former Department of Homeland Security agent who makes it his mission to rescue children from the horrors of human trafficking.
The film stars the famous Christian actor Jim Caviezel widely known for his role in “Passion of the Christ.” “Sound of Freedom” had a massive opening at the box office, where it excelled among other films that flopped. The movie even managed to take the number one spot just after a few days at the box office. Furthermore, according to a recent report from the American Tribune, the film just surpassed $100 million at the box office.
Despite the film releasing in the early days of July, it has seen surging attendance even weeks after its initial debut. According to reports from Celluloid Junkie, “Sound of Freedom” brought in over $20 million during its third weekend, more than the weekend of its initial debut. “Angel Studios is projecting nearly $125 million total cumulative box office revenue through Sunday,” per the report.
Furthermore, Forbes wrote how it is surpassing other big-budget film titles from prominent studios in gross domestic earnings. “The film has surpassed the total 2023 domestic gross of other big-name productions like Scream VI ($108 million), The Flash ($107 million), M3GAN ($95 million) and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves ($93 million),” according to Forbes.
According to WND News Service, “The movie has stunned the movie industry, and the nation, for its popularity. It beat out a new ‘Indiana Jones’ movie when it opened. It tells the real-life story of former Homeland Security agent, Tim Ballard, played by Jim Caviezel, who fights child trafficking.”
Woke news outlets have tried to conflate “Sound of Freedom” with the QAnon movement for some reason. Jim Caviezel recently appeared on Charlie Kirk’s show, where he defended himself and “Sound of Freedom against accusations.
“Now, by way of analogy, if I were the apostle Saul (Paul) and I’m a Pharisee, I’m going to go after the Christians and take them down. Now, let’s remove Christians and make it QAnon, I’m going to destroy them because the Romans told me they are evil. I’m going to destroy them because my own church staff, my fellow Pharisees said evil—Well, I’m going to take them out,” Caviezel said.
Caviezel also called out attackers of the movie, stating they are scared of what the film addresses. He also discussed evil that exists in the world and how God views it, drawing on his devout Christian faith. “They’re scared. Quaking in their boots. And it’s because the public are listening to their hearts, which is what this film tells you to do,” he said. “When there is evil, real evil in the world, and when love is in your heart, boy, evil is just a coward to God.”
“Sound of Freedom” recently smashed its goal of selling 2 million tickets to draw attention to the two million children affected by child trafficking. As of writing this article, the movie has sold almost 12 million tickets per Angel Studio’s website. See the trailer for the movie below.
