On November 20, 2025, Karen Olvera De Leon, a U.S. Attorney’s Office employee in Brownsville, Texas, was arrested for allegedly doxxing a federal agent during a June 9 immigration raid livestream. As a death threat emerged in comments, she purportedly revealed the agent’s whole identity, escalating the danger, then tried to delete evidence of her alleged crime.
The alleged criminal has been charged with felony level terrorism charges, with a penalty of 2–20 years if convicted, and evidence tampering. The unhinged activists were released on $20,000 personal recognizance. In a lengthy statement, DA Luis Saenz detailed the betrayal amid rising border agent threats, including a July McAllen shooting.
Describing the situation, Cameron County District Attorney Luis V. Saenz explained the circumstances. “The case began on June 9, when federal agents conducted a raid in Brownsville. During the operation, bystanders began recording and livestreaming,” the official said.
Building out the case, Saenz noted, “Various social media users began commenting on one of the livestreams when one of the commenters made what authorities considered a death threat against the agent being shown in the video.”
Rounding out the statement, the Cameron County District Attorney declared, “Moments after, another commenter revealed the identity of the agent in the video. Cameron County investigators arrested Olvera De Leon after determining that she was the one who had doxed the federal agent.”
Offering more context, the county noted that the suspect was also implicated in tampering with evidence in the case. “Olvera De Leon’s arrest stems from events surrounding a federal immigration enforcement operation… Authorities allege she later attempted to delete or alter digital evidence of her involvement, leading to the additional tampering charge,” officials noted.

When news of the arrest broke on social media, conservatives were outraged. Expressing a common reaction, one user wrote, “🚨🇺🇸 THE ENEMY WITHIN: DOJ EMPLOYEE CHARGED WITH TERRORISM FOR EXPOSING FEDERAL AGENT’S IDENTITY… A DOJ employee doxxing the very agents her office is supposed to support. The rot runs deep.”
Likewise, other users speculated about whether the suspect was still employed with the DOJ. “Karen Olvera De Leon… Has Been Arrested By Texas Authorities & Charged With A State Terrorism Charge & Tampering With Physical Evidence… No Word Whether Olvera De Leon Has Been Fired From The DOJ,” a comment said.
Similarly, another tweet summarized the event and expressed the rage felt by many members of the public. A user wrote, “Karen Olvera De Leon just got slapped with state terrorism charges for straight-up doxxing a federal agent during a livestreamed ICE raid, handing his identity to some bloodthirsty commenter who was already frothing at the mouth with death threats!”
Offering another view on this disturbing story, one news organization noted, “BREAKING 🚨: DOJ employee Karen Olvera De Leon was arrested in Texas for doxxing an ICE agent during a live raid. She dropped the agent’s full name and personal info right after a death threat appeared in the chat.”
