In a recently unearthed video, far-left Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) went on a tirade against “President Musk” for derailing a deep state spending bill. At the time, media and political figures alike were worried that the Democrats would shut down the government rather than cooperate with President-Elect Trump.
For context, Rep. Rosa DeLauro is a long-serving Democratic Congresswoman from Connecticut who’s been a hardcore progressive activist since 1991 and is known for her progressive advocacy. She has a leadership role on the House Appropriations Committee and has played a critical role in opposing President Trump.
Beginning her rant, the purple-haired DeLauro blamed Republicans for being “scared” of Elon Musk. She raved, “We agreed on a bill, and you know what? They got scared because President Musk told them, President Musk said “Don’t do it, don’t do it, shut the government down.’”
Ironically, the lifetime politicians decided to question the intelligence of the genius tech CEO while she was supposed to be debating a spending bill. Rep. Rosa DeLauro said, “What does he know about what people go through when the government shuts down?”
Building on her hysterical rant, she kept going. She snarled, “Are his employees furloughed? H*ll no! Is he furloughed? No! And when you shut the government down, people don’t get paid. And maybe if none of us got paid if the government got shut down, some people on the other side of the aisle would feel differently about where we’re going and this effort!”
Continuing her baseless attacks, she questioned who was in charge of the Trump administration. The congresswoman said, “The world’s richest man, an unelected contractor reaping billions in government contracts, is calling the shots in the Republican Party. Who is in charge? At the behest of the world’s richest man, who no one voted for, the United States Congress has been thrown into pandemonium.”

Concluding her theatrical display, she said, “We must immediately return to considering the bipartisan, bicameral compromise legislation that Speaker Johnson, Leader Schumer, Leader Jeffries, Leader McConnell, and the four corners of the Appropriations Committee reached earlier this week. We must unequivocally reject the illegitimate oligarchy that seeks to usurp the authority of the United States Congress and of the American people.”
When a video of the embarrassing incident was posted to social media, conservatives flocked to mock the woke representative. Mike Benz wrote, “This crazy lady screaming about “President Musk!” is the most powerful Democrat in Congress on all things US federal budget. She was Chair of the House Appropriations Committee for the first 2 years of Biden & has been the #1 Democrat there since the GOP won the 2022 midterms.”
Elon Musk agreed, writing, “The crazy lady with the purple hair is the top House Dem in charge of spending taxpayer money!? 
” One of the other comments read, “If you watched this with the sound off you’d think this person was from some new Star Wars show as the supreme elder matriarch who is trying to convince the supreme lesbian counsel that they need to kill the last remaining baby boy because the prophecy says he will ruin them all.”
