A married couple from Oklahoma is getting its five minutes of fame after a quick idea for a couple’s costume led to them correctly predicting the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce relationship, with the costume, which they wore in 2020, detonating on the incident after the singer’s latest relationship became common knowledge.
The woman behind the costume helped win herself a few minutes of fame by making a TikTok video detailing the costume, which helped knowledge of it really take off as people looked for something fun to pay attention to instead of depressing political and economic news, with Stephens later speaking to Fox News Digital about the matter.
Speaking to Fox News Digital about the costume, she said, “I was thinking about it, and it connected that we had already done it [the costume]. And my husband was asleep, and I woke him up and said, ‘baby, this is going to be a trend. And we already did it. We did it three years ago.’”
She also commented on the TikTok video she posted, which was three minutes long and went viral quickly on TikTok, racking up nearly 110,000 views as of the time this article was written, along with garnering hundreds of comments. “It’s been madness,” Stephens said, referring to the attention paid to the TikTok video.

Many commenters on the video joked that Stephens had “manifested” the Swift-Kelce relationship with the costume, posting comments like, “That’s some manifestation right there. Alright now!” and “Queen can you manifest my crush and I. I’ll send you his pics 😭😭”
Adding a bit more context to the costume and from where the idea for it came, Stephens said that they had to come up with something fast after a last-minute party invitation, saying, “It was actually like completely accidental. We had been invited to a last minute family Halloween gathering, and they told us that we needed to be costumes.”
Continuing, she said, “We really just scrounged through our closet. And my husband has always been a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and Taylor Swift had just released Folklore. I was trying to see which different type of Taylor I could be, and I ended up going with Lover Era Taylor.”
She added, laughing at the memory, “It was so funny because nobody at the party was very impressed with their costume. They really aren’t great. They were pretty terrible. But now, three years later, it’s turned into something we could never have imagined.”
In her original post of the couple’s costume that now looks clairvoyant, Stephens said, “I don’t know any world in which Taylor Swift + Travis Kelce would be in the same room together, but apparently in this one they’re married? #HappyHalloween”
