Recently, a married couple claimed to have captured the elusive Bigfoot on camera during a romantic getaway in Colorado. Shannon Parker and her husband, Stetson, were enjoying a scenic train ride, highlighting the magnificent natural offerings of the Centennial State, when they saw the giant bipedal, hairy creature in the distance.
“It’s story time y’all! On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Stetson Tyler and I took the Narrow Gauge train ride from Durango to Silverton,” painting the setting on a Facebook post. “After leaving Silverton and heading back to Durango, I asked Stetson to help me look for elk in the mountains.”
Parker states she and her husband were admiring the mountain scenery when suddenly the supposed Bigfoot appeared on the hillside.“As we are passing by the mountains, Stetson sees something moving and then says I think it’s Bigfoot.”
A passenger on the train immediately started recording the mysterious creature before their very eyes. Shannon claims that only several passengers on the train ride actually spotted the Bigfoot, testifying to the purported evasive nature of the mystical being.
“Brandon, the guy sitting next to Stetson on the train grabs his phone and starts recording. Meanwhile I am trying to get a photo on my camera. Below is the video Brandon @bt92.travels got and the photos I took. Y’all, out of the hundreds of people on the train, three or four of us actually saw, as Stetson says in the video , the ever elusive creature Bigfoot! I don’t know about y’all but We Believe!!”
The couple estimated the creature to have been about six to seven feet tall. Since they posted the footage online, the video of the Bigfoot siting has gone viral, garnering nationwide attention. See the captured footage below.
The first frame of the video shows the large creature in a similar stance as the the famous Bigfoot pose captured in the legendary Patterson-Gimlin film from 1967. This quintessential Bigfoot encounter in Northern California is commonly cited as introducing Sasquatch to the public conscience.
As the video from the train progresses, the creatures takes several large strides before squatting down amongst the shrubbery and bushes. The supposes Sasquatch blends in remarkably well with its surroundings, whereas if there wasn’t prior movement they may have never spotted it.
“We were looking for elk in the mountains and my husband sees something moving and then can’t really explain it. So he’s like ‘Bigfoot!’” Shannon told the New York Post. “It was at least six, seven feet or taller. It matched the sage in the mountains so much that he’s like camouflaged when crouching down…if you asked before our trip we would have said maybe [Bigfoot] could be real, but now we’re convinced.”
According to the findings of the Bigfoot Research Organization:
These large apes are spotted mostly in forested regions with abundant protein sources. Deer in particular. They consistently maintain low population levels in those areas, even where the protein sources could support dramatically larger numbers of them. Consequently they have never become an ongoing nuisance to human communities, or to human livestock…..We expect that humans will continue to have brief sightings of these animals, and we hope those people will continue to report their sightings to us.
