Famous country music singer Aaron Lewis recently voiced his disdain toward leftist cancel culture, where the musician explained that he refuses to back down from stating his beliefs. During a recent interview with The Spectator, Lewis discussed how he has stood firm when the woke mob has come after him in the past.
Lewis had two concise words for leftists seeking to deplatform him: “F*** you.” The country music star noted that “mob rule” contradicts the fundamental values of being an American, such as having the freedom to exercise their liberties, particularly freedom of speech. Lewis specifically called out leftists for their intolerance of ideas that counter their own.
“Mob rule is not the United States of America. Period, the end,” he stated. “To the left, it’s either you adhere to our narrative and our objective or you are an outcast. You have no voice to participate. You have no opinion. You’re a deplorable. And you know what? F*** you.”
Lewis has channeled his frustration toward liberals to creative outlets such as his popular music, where he has written several patriotic songs in recent years, slamming the woke agenda. Moreover, the former “Staind” frontman has been known to lead energetic “F*** Joe Biden” chants during his concerts.
Continuing to release new, passionate music based on his political beliefs, Lewis recently released his latest album, “The Hill,” which is not afraid to grab the left by the horns. The highly anticipated album features powerful songs such as “Made in China” and “Let’s Go Fishing.”
For example, “Let’s Go Fishing” highlights the economic struggles that working-class Americans have endured throughout the Biden administration. The song describes the plight of people who are forced “to work two jobs and rob a bank / to put food on the table and gas in your tank.”
Lewis is undoubtedly fearless in admitting the political nature of his songs. “I’m not going to try to sugarcoat anything and say that the song’s not political, it’s totally political,” he stated during his interview with The Spectator. The 2000s rock singer turned conservative country star does not intend to scale back the magnitude of his political statements toward the woke left and his desire to promote freedom.
“Usually when I walk away from a record going, ‘Sh*t did I say too much? Did I expose too much of my inner workings?’ That’s usually a sign that I wrote a good record and I did what I was supposed to do, which was utilize that opportunity to get some of my innermost, deepest thoughts and feelings out,” he explained.
“The album really lays out freedom in both directions,” he added, speaking about his newest musical works. “I don’t care what you do. I don’t care how you live your life, that’s your choice. But don’t impose it upon me. I don’t have to agree. That’s taking it too far.”
Taking advantage of demand for conservative country songs in the last few years, Lewis rode the charts with his hit single “Am I the Only One,” calling out problematic issues with the state of America. The song soared to the top of the iTunes charts.
