Speaking in a series of fury-filled posts on Truth Social, President Donald Trump went scorched earth on former Vice President and failed 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris, accusing her of corruption in providing payments to entertainers and performers in exchange for endorsements and support.
As background, Harris got support from a great many performers, most infamously Beyonce, and while it doesn’t appear that those endorsements did much to help her, they did cost a great deal, with the Beyonce appearance at a Kamala rally alone costing the Kamala campaign something around $10 million.
Beginning one of his posts on the matter, Trump slammed Bruce Springsteen for taking money from Kamala, saying, “HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT? WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS?”
Continuing, Trump questioned whether making such a payment in exchange for an endorsement was illegal, then proceeded to note that other public figures and performers were involved as well. He said, “ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO???”
He then noted that he was calling for an investigation into what happened, as paying for endorsements is illegal. He said, “I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment.”
Adding to that, he wrote, “In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic “entertainers,” this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!”
That wasn’t all. In another post on the matter, President Trump commented on the massive amount that Beyonce was paid to appear at a Kamala rally before walking off stage without singing as the crowd loudly booed. He wrote, “According to news reports, Beyoncé was paid $11,000,000 to walk onto a stage, quickly ENDORSE KAMALA, and walk off to loud booing for never having performed, NOT EVEN ONE SONG!”

Making the same claim about the money paid for the appearance being a thinly vieled payment in exchange for an endorsement, the president wrote, “Remember, the Democrats and Kamala illegally paid her millions of Dollars for doing nothing other than giving Kamala a full throated ENDORSEMENT.”
Concluding, he alleged that the whole concept of performers reaping huge payments and giving endorsements in exchange was a massive scam and matter of corruption, saying, “THIS IS AN ILLEGAL ELECTION SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL! IT IS AN ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, OPRAH, BONO AND, PERHAPS, MANY OTHERS, HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO!!!”
Also, in yet another post on Truth Social, the president slammed his continual music industry nemesis: Taylor Swift. In the post, he alleged that she has gotten less attractive since he dissed her online, saying, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”
