Rep. James Comer recently appeared for an interview on Newsmax and, during it, claimed that the House has evidence, in the form of bank records, of Hunter being wired money from China and Romania. He went on to add that they House is currently investigating money that arrived in Hunter’s bank account and originated in Ukraine and Russia. Rep. Comer also claimed recently that the Hunter Biden legal team is attempting to intimidate witnesses into silence.
Beginning, Comer sounded off on the Romania and China bank accounts first, noting that those are the ones so far disclosed and that even more suspicious Chinese payments to Hunter will be exposed and proven soon.
“We have bank records that came in this week that we’re going through that we think are going to show more [money wire transfers] from more countries. Remember, we just disclosed two countries thus far: China and Romania. There are still some more Chinese wires that we have yet to present to the American people,” he said.
Continuing, Comer then tackled the Ukraine and Russia issue, pointing out that the DOJ is standing in the way of the House, shielding Hunter from proper oversight. “And there are a lot of wires, mysterious wires from Ukraine and Russia, that we’re about to expose. So, this is just the beginning for the Bidens. All the Department of Justice is doing is standing in our way,” he said.
Rep. Comer then insisted that, despite the various obstacles thrown in the way of GOP lawmakers by apparatchiks of the DOJ, it is still managing to uncover more and more evidence daily of Hunter and other Biden family members’ misdeeds. He said, “we are still producing results every day that shows this family, the president of the United States’ family, has received millions and millions of dollars from our adversaries all over the world, and they can’t explain why.”
But that’s not all that Rep. Comer has used his position and the publicity afforded it to call out recently. He also took the opportunity to express concern and call out the Hunter Biden legal team’s attempt to intimidate those helping the house, claiming that cooperating banks have been threatened, witnesses have received legal letters and threatening letters, and those lawmakers participating in the investigation into Biden. have been subjected to political pressure campaigns over the issue in their districts.
Speaking on the issue, Comer claimed that dark money Democrat groups are funneling money into political pressure campaign and that a White House employee has kept up the attacks on him online. He said: “The Hunter Biden legal team — they’re testing the limits. I’ll put it like that with respect to witness intimidation. I mean, just look in my district. We’ve got dark money groups that are being funded through prominent high-ranking Democrat officials in Congress. Also, the communications director for the White House continues to retweet things trying to intimidate me for having the audacity to investigate.”
Continuing, Rep. Comer then claimed that witnesses appearing to testify against Hunter are terrified because they’ve received threats or are seeing their businesses investigated and squeezed because they are complying. He said: “We’ve got witnesses that are scared to death to come forward. They fear for their lives. I mean, you’ve got the banks that have worked with us, they’re being squeezed by attorneys, by high-ranking officials in the Democrat Party for having the nerve to work with us to comply with our subpoenas.”
