In a scathing flurry of social media posts, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) accused former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton of defying bipartisan subpoenas for depositions in the Jeffrey Epstein probe, rejecting their attorneys’ offer for a limited New York interview with no official transcript and barring certain members of Congress.
Fighting back, Comer called it “ridiculous” and “special treatment,” insisting on sworn, transcribed testimony for accountability on Epstein and Maxwell connections as well as sex-trafficking knowledge. Clinton spokesperson Angel Ureña countered that they never rejected transcripts or sworn testimony, accusing Comer of misdirection to protect others.
“Comer was using a dispute over testimony format as a pretext to move toward contempt proceedings,” claimed Angel Ureña, the deputy chief of staff to former President Bill Clinton, in a statement issued for the Clintons. “We never said no to a transcript. Interviews are on the record and under oath.”
Continuing with the anger-filled comments issued on behalf of the Clintons, the woke activist ridiculously claimed that Comer was trying to “misdirect” the public by holding the Clintons accountable, saying, “Whether it was written or typed isn’t why this is happening. If that were the last or only issue, we’d be in a different position. You keep misdirecting to protect you-know-who and God knows what.”
Fighting back, Rep. Comer retorted, “Facing contempt of Congress, the Clintons’ lawyers made an untenable offer: that I travel to New York for a conversation with President Clinton only. No official transcript would be recorded and other members of Congress would be barred from participating. I have rejected the Clintons’ ridiculous offer.”
Still not done, he added, “The Clintons’ latest demands make clear they believe their last name entitles them to special treatment. The House Oversight Committee’s bipartisan subpoenas require the Clintons to appear for depositions that are under oath and transcribed.”
Wrapping up his comments, James Comer leveled a devastating allegation towards the Clinton family, saying, “The absence of an official transcript is an indefensible demand that is insulting to the American people who demand answers about Epstein’s crimes.”

Adding another view of the situation, the GOP House Oversight Committee posted, “One of the Clinton’s pawns claimed to the fake NYT that they never ruled out a transcript,” on X. “The receipts tell a different story—they demanded that there be only one staffer ‘to take notes’ for each side during an ‘interview.’ Subpoenas and depositions are not suggestions.”
Likewise, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) noted, “We’ve seen multiple pictures of Bill Clinton with Epstein victims on Epstein’s plane engaged in all kinds of things that look quite unsavory, and I think the American people want answers, and they want to know what a former U.S. president was doing with this disgusting pedophile.”
Responding to Comer’s original post, one woman said, “This is what Privilege that D*ms complain about all the time looks like. Clintons think they are above the law. Refused to show up for testimony. No official transcript, no recordings. Members of Congress barred from participating. Isn’t that special?”
Agreeing, another added, “I believe it when I see it pass. Further, I’ll believe after a judge doesn’t stop it either. That was the whole point to the Don Lemon thing to see if they still have judges in the pocket. It’s obvious they do. I am hopeful that you have the balls to finish this.”
