“Class Act”: Barron Praised for “Classy” Gesture after His Dad Gets Sworn In [WATCH]

In a welcome moment during the Monday, January 20th Inauguration of President Donald Trump, Barron Trump, son of First Lady Melania Trump and President Trump, acted in what people online described as a very “classy” way, taking the time to politely shake former President Joe Biden’s hand rather than act in a rudely, if understandably, dismissive way toward him.

The incident occurred after the president’s son acted in a very mature way while standing next to his parents during the swearing-in-ceremony portion of the inauguration, acting in quite a good and reserved manner for an 18-year-old during such an exciting moment. It was after that showing of his maturity that Barron did what few others in his position probably would have and spoke to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, thanking them for being present for the inauguration.

Notably, Barron’s politeness came despite various rude gestures from the outgoing regime during the day, such as Kamala’s scowl when Vance and his family arrived at the White House, and the Biden-Harris refusal to clap, or even look pleasant, during Trump’s speech. Further, it came despite the various indignities directed Trump’s way by the Biden-Harris Administration, such as the raid on the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago home.

In any case, showing maturity and politeness that non-attendees like former First Lady Michelle Obama refused to, the son of the president walked up to the outgoing President and Vice President shortly after the ceremony and shook Biden’s hand while briefly thanking them. Barron was quite praised for that gesture online.

For example, conservative X (formerly Twitter) news personality Nick Sortor noted Barron’s politeness and used it to claim that Barron has a bright future in the public eye ahead of him, saying, “Barron Trump just shook hands with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. This kid will be our President one day. Bet on it.”

Commenters on Mr. Sortor’s post used the clip to note that it showed the good way Barron was raised and the class act nature of his upbringing, saying things like “That’s because the Trump’s are a class act. After everything that family has been through, they still hold their heads up and proceed with grace” and “While mama bear watched closely. Barron is a good kid raise with respect and dignity.” Watch Barron here:

Others took much the same message from the incident. DC Examiner contributor Kimberly Ross, for example, wrote that it was very much as “classy” act for Barron to take the time and make the effort to shake hands with the outgoing politicians, saying, “Barron Trump shaking hands with Biden and Harris is a very classy act.”

Joining in, reporter Tayler Hanson said that, given the context of what has gone on between the Biden-Harris Administration and Trump, Barron showed that he acts right and is quite respectful. He said, “Looks like Barron Trump just went out of his way to shake both Joe’s and Kamala’s hand. Seems like a very respectful young man with all things considered.”
