Chris Pratt loves the United States of America, and he is not afraid to say it. Pratt spent time at Pepperdine University talking to students about the impact that 9/11 had on this country and helping them understand the importance of never forgetting the way that it shaped entire generations of Americans.
Pratt, unlike so many other Hollywood stars, is unashamed to share the love of America that he feels. Whether it is thanking our brave men and women who serve us overseas or thanking police officers for their diligent work in protecting us in America, Pratt thanks those people who made America great.
Pratt also does his best to use his moments behind a microphone to amplify their voices and stories to let other people know about the people that Americans should be the most proud to call one of their own. At his speech in Pepperdine, Pratt did more of that.
He posted the speech to Instagram with a caption that reads, “Don’t let the 9/11 effect fade. Just a week ago, we gathered to remember the heroes and the indomitable spirit that emerged from the ashes. Let’s keep that fire of patriotism burning bright, honoring the sacrifices of those who stepped up in the face of adversity.”
Continuing, Pratt said, “In a world that sometimes feels divided, it’s crucial to remember that we are one nation, united under the same flag, indivisible. Let’s carry the torch forward, ensuring that the lessons of 9/11 continue to shape our future and inspire generations to come. #NeverForget”
Pratt has made a habit of giving life advice to young people. Recently, he urged young adults in America to start families, to begin taking on responsibilities, and to get on with adult life. He said this in an interview with Men’s Journal.
Pratt said, “People say all the time, ‘Don’t rush to have kids.’ I personally disagree. Rush. Have them. Of course, make sure you find a great partner, but don’t wait. I was talking to Adam Sandler a while back and he said, ‘Every day you wait is a day they don’t get to have you in their life.’ The younger you have kids, the more time they get to have with you. It’s wild. Having kids is incredible. The things you normally take for granted in life are new,”
Speeches like these continue to make Pratt one of the most adored actors in Hollywood. He has a draw that so few in the Liberal stronghold have since he can connect more completely with audiences with conservative views.
For example, when he played the role of a Navy SEAL, it was clear that Pratt embraced the role and took great pride in depicting one of America’s most elite warfighters and protectors. Pratt doesn’t take his admiration of American heroes lightly, and he doesn’t let fears of retribution in Hollywood stop him from constantly reminding others of the sacrifices that those before them made.
