Charlie Sheen Slams the Woke Cable News as Being “Very Much Like State-Run Media”

After Trump’s  dramatic victory in the 2024 election, Hollywood icon Charlie Sheen, a lifelong liberal, deliberately “changed the channel” from legacy media, which he now calls “very much like state-run media.”

In a series of late-night sessions, Sheen conducted his own research and explored conservative viewpoints. The actor described how, over the course of months, he experienced repeated “Oh my gosh!” revelations.

Sheen described ultimately feeling “really stupid” for beliefs he had accepted without question and for people he had been told to hate. Despite voting against Trump in 2024, Sheen now regrets that vote and expresses growing comfort in openly discussing his political shift to the right.

Laying out his feelings, the famous actor said, “I’ve paid the most taxes of anybody in my fu**ing family,” adding, “I was not going to go to bed every night feeling fu**ing hopeless… I’m gonna conduct an experiment, literally, I’m going change the channel.”

Digging in deeper to his research, Sheen described a dramatic discovery. “I’m gonna do my own research… I’m gonna listen other voices… just hearing both sides of the god d**n story,” he noted in a recent interview.

Adding to his previous comments, the a-lister noted, “I was so hypnotized by what, in some ways, can be described as state-run media… Legacy media is very much like that. The things I discovered… It was months of those moments of, ‘Oh my gosh!’ And I felt really stupid.”

Bringing his comments to a close, Sheen said, “Some of the stuff I bought into, and some other stuff I was worshipping, and some people I was hating, because I was told I was supposed to hate them.” Concluding the interview, Sheen described his vote in 2024 as “That’s another one of those examples where you feel stupid… But it’s a vote I’d like to have back.”

This is far from the only time Sheen has made the front page of the conservative press. As we reported at the American Tribune, after a viral July 26, 2025, brawl in downtown Cincinnati left six injured, including victim Holly with severe brain trauma, Charlie Sheen donated $1,000 to the victims.

Explaining his decision, Sheen said, “My Ohio connections run deep, and what happened to you will NOT be tolerated by the ‘true’ Ohioans (like yourself), as justice will reign supreme. Heal well, young lady, and know that we are all rooting for you!”

Responding to a prominent conservative, the actor wrote, “Benny! I was merely following your gracious lead! The speed at which you and Sen Moreno hatched the donation plan, was stunning and compassionate and as patriotic as it gets. You both reminded all of us of the America we remain proud to call – home. Keep up the great work, and to Holly, ‘we’ have your six. xox. cs”

Summarizing the events, Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge condemned the violence. “The behavior displayed is nothing short of cruel and absolutely unacceptable. Our investigative team is working diligently to identify every individual involved in causing harm. It’s also important to clarify: this was a sudden dispute between individuals following a verbal altercation,” she said.
