Chaos broke out between Judge Jeanine Pirro and Jessica Tarlov, members of Fox News’s “The Five,” after the liberal co-host Tarlov attempted to defend Joe Biden’s disastrous visit to the Hawaiian island Maui. After wildfires spread through the state and killed over 100 Americans, the Biden administration has been suffering through gaffe after gaffe as their age-riddled president tries to us this opportunity for positive PR.
Biden expressed his extraordinary ability to make a bad situation worse by claiming to be able to relate to the Maui residents. The Biden household suffered a fire last year when his corvette burst into flames in his garage, so the sitting president made sure to tell the Hawaiian people that he was no stranger to destructive fire.
In Biden’s fire, however, only one home was affected, and no lives were lost. Some Maui residents would have given anything for those to be the same effects of the recent wildfires. Biden, who has a knack for making the wrong joke at the wrong time, joked to reporters that his boots were hot from walking on the warm Hawaii ground. Not an awesome comment just days after the area was ravaged by fire.
As Tarlov moved to defend the president, Pirro quickly rebuked her in epic fashion. “He was talking to a dog whose paws are on the ground,” said Tarlov.
“Are you kidding me? This is a guy who goes to an inferno, an inferno where a thousand people and children are missing. He talks to a dog, and he talks about the fact that he almost lost a cat,” Pirro said, calling back to Biden’s fire story in which he claimed to have almost lost his cat.
Pirro continued, “This guy has been lying from the moment he came on the political scene. He has a lack of empathy, he is egocentric, he’s got a condescending smirk whenever anybody asks him a question from the press. He is lying, and he’s narcissistic.”
Pirro concluded her epic rant, saying, “The bottom line is he systematically lies.”
The original comments that Biden made that set the media into a frenzy, calling him insensitive and clearly unable to read a room were as follows.“I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense, Jill and I, of what it’s like to lose a home. Years ago now, 15 years ago, I was in Washington doing ‘Meet the Press.’ It was a sunny Sunday.”
“Lightning struck at home, on a little lake that’s outside of our home — not a lake, a big pond — and hit a wire that came up underneath our home into the heating ducts, air conditioning ducts,” the president said. “To make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette, and my cat,”
Really, Joe. Did that seem like a useful story to tell? After he was done belittling the struggles of Maui’s residents, Biden was thoroughly embarrassed and has seen some conservative pundits consider whether Hawaii may someday become a conservative state in the wake of his disastrous visit.
