Over the Fourth of July weekend, a radical left-wing Canadian woman spotted a teenager wearing clothing that supported President Donald Trump walking along the Jersey Shore and took it upon herself to punish the kid by slapping them. The move led to her being arrested and detained by immigration officials.
Kaitlyn E. Tracey, 33, recorded herself getting into a confrontation with a group of four girls on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk on July 3, becoming violent as the altercation continued. Tracey was displeased to see two of the beachgoers, both minors, sporting “patriotic colored” sweatpants that featured the words “Trump” and “ICE” before she started hitting one of them across the face and body.
Surveillance footage showed Tracey assaulting the minor before she ultimately fled the scene. However, she was later identified by law enforcement authorities who then got a warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody on July 6, 2026, and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, and harassment and obstruction.
According to a report from The New York Post, the teen Tracey allegedly assaulted was not injured. Tracey and her husband had been living in Asbury Park until she entered the United States with a passport in 2024. The woman’s husband, Matthew Geroni, claimed that his blushing bride was detained by ICE officials and sent to Delaney Hall, an immigration detention center located in Newark, New Jersey.
“Yesterday, July 13, my wife was detained by ICE and brought to Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ,” Geroni said in a video posted on TikTok. Geroni, an American citizen, married Tracey “a little over three years ago” and has been sharing bits and pieces of information about his wife’s story with his 140,000 followers on his account.
“My main goal is the safety and well-being of my wife, and that is about it,” he stated in one of his videos. Geroni did not divulge any information about his wife assaulting a teenage girl, claiming the situation has been taken out of context. He later made a GoFundMe page to raise funds to cover his wife’s legal expenses, however, he was forced to take it down after a “Facebook group of MAGA supporters” mass-reported it.
The Post said it reached out to Geroni for comment, but as of this writing, he has not responded. Geroni, a content creator who routinely posts videos making fun of Republicans, has described himself as the “Clown of Asbury Park” and the “Jester of the Jersey Shore.” He claimed that law enforcement officers told his wife to leave the boardwalk after the assault because they didn’t have enough evidence to charge her.

Tracey later turned herself in after the police issued an arrest warrant. Her first appearance in court is scheduled for August 4, 2026. This is just another incident of left-wing violence in a long list that has been growing ever since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA in September 2025.
