Jackson Mahomes, brother of the NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes, has been arrested on a charge of aggravated sexual battery following an incident in February at a restaurant in Kansas.
According to Fox News, Mahomes was held on a $100,000 bond after being booked at 7:42 am. At 10:30, he was arraigned and posted bail and has since left the jail.
Mahomes was accused in February of shoving a female waitress and forcibly kissing the female owner of a restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas. Aspen Vaughn, the owner of the restaurant, said this to news outlets, as shared by Fox News:
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere, and I’m telling him, pushing him off saying, ‘What are you doing?’ and then he proceeded to do it two more times, where the last time I was pushing him off, and I can see on the cameras that somebody was outside the office door, and I was yelling for them to come help because he’s big and massive.”
It is worth noting that Mahomes’ lawyer denied such allegations. Attorney Brendan Davies had the following to say about his client, Jackson Mahomes:
“Jackson has done nothing wrong. Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser, including the statements of several witnesses. We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation so that they may have a complete picture of the matter.”
Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, also jumped to Jackson’s defense in April when social media users were leaving derogatory comments on his posts. Brittany said:
“They are ignorant. He is a human just trying to live his life and find his way and until you walk a day in his shoes (which no one ever will) you have no right to say s— about him.”
Brittany was also in the news immediately following her husband’s Super Bowl victory earlier this year. She demanded that fans and media offer an apology to the Kansas City Chiefs after doubting the team due to a slow start to there 2022-2023 season. According to The American Tribune, the season ended spectacularly for Brittany, as she found herself celebrating a Super Bowl victory with her family at Disney:
Patrick Mahomes won the Super Bowl on Sunday and already has brought the family to Disneyland to celebrate his second Lombardi trophy. Judging by some pictures posted to his Instagram, the Mahomes family is living it up at the most magical place on earth.
Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback who won NFL MVP awards this season, looks like he’s making the most of his time off as he posed for a picture alongside his wife, Brittany, and their two young kids in front of one of the many castles at Disneyland theme park. The caption reads, “Welcome to the happiest place on earth, Bronze and Sterling!”
