BREAKING: GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert Declares VICTORY Over Dem Opponent In Razor-Thin Colorado Contest

Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert, an outspoken supporter of former president Donald Trump and a leading voice in Congress’s MAGA wing, declared victory over her Democrat challenger Adam Fisch in the state’s third congressional district.

With over 99% of the votes counted, Boebert leads by just .2% – or roughly just 500 total votes out of more than 320,000 total votes cast in the race.

Boebert took to Twitter to celebrate her victory:

    We won!

I am so thankful for all of your support and I am so proud to be your Representative! pic.twitter.com/4gnmflotiU

    — Lauren Boebert (@laurenboebert) November 18, 2022

“Hey everyone. Great news tonight as almost all the votes have finally been tallied,” Boebert began. “I’m told that there are less than 200 votes outstanding, which makes me so happy to announce we have won this race.” Boebert was referencing what CNN reported as one final county needing to report. With her margin of victory exceeding 500 and just 200 outstanding ballots, mathematically she declared her victory.

Boebert continued, noting that “[w]ith this victory, and with Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, we can focus on the issues that actually mattermost including getting inflation under control, increasing our domestic energy supply, securing the southern border and being a strong check on the White House.”

Boebert then reassured her followers that past recounts in Colorado have rarely impacted the overall outcomes. “My campaign team and our lawyers will definitely make sure everything is conducted properly,” she said. “Past recounts in Colorado have resulted in far fewer votes being adjusted than anything that could affect the current outcome we’re seeing tonight in this race.”

“So come January, you can be certain of two things. I will be sworn in for my second term as your Congresswoman and Republicans can finally turn Pelosi his house back into the People’s House.”

Just The News provided an overview of the situation, again focusing on the very slim margin of victory. In all likelihood, the razor-thin margins will demand a recount.

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert is declaring victory in her re-election bid, citing her razor-thin lead against Democrat Adam Fisch in what will likely lead to a recount before the race is officially certified.

The race has been covered extensively by news media due to its too-close-to-call margins and its status as one of the last remaining congressional contests still in play.

By Friday morning, the margin was just 0.2%, with Boebert leading by roughly 500 votes with 99% of the votes counted, according to The Associated Press. Colorado law dictates recounts in congressional races if the margin of victory is 0.5% or less.

CNN added that state law requires a timeline to be followed with regard to the tabulation, recounting, auditing, and certification of the election.

Under Colorado law, counties have until November 29 to complete a risk-limiting audit, which involves double-checking a small number of ballots against the recorded votes, and then until November 30 to certify their final results.

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold has until December 5 to certify the election and order any mandatory recounts. Those recounts must be completed by December 13.

Boebert finished her message by thanking all of her supporters.

“Thank you to every volunteer that made calls, knock doors, and of course, to each of you that has entrusted me with your vote. I am honored to be your representative. I pray for you and I am so grateful for you. God bless you tonight.“
