BREAKING: AG Pam Bondi Has Been Fired as AG, Trump Announces Her Replacement

In some stunning news out of the Trump Administration that came out of the blue on the early afternoon of Thursday, April 2, it was announced that now-former Attorney General Pam Bondi has been fired by President Donald Trump and will apparently be replaced by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Announcing the news was real and not just a social media rumor was Fox News Channel’s Senior White House correspondent, Peter Doocy. According to Doocy, who claimed to have gotten off of the phone with President Trump immediately before reporting on it for the network, Bondi is on her way out the door, will be replaced by Blanche temporarily, though not permanently, and that Trump no longer trusts Bondi to be the AG.

Doocy said, commenting on the matter, that AG Bondi will be headed out of the Department of Justice and is going to have a different job, meaning she has been fired. He said, “Hey, I just got off the phone with President Trump. We have a big scoop. Pam Bondi will soon leave her job as the Attorney General. She is going to get a different job within the administration.”

Continuing, Doocy explained that though there does not seem to be any bad blood of note between Bondi and President Trump, the administration is intent on getting her out. He said, “It doesn’t sound like there is any bad blood between her and President Trump, but it does seem like they want her to go and do something else.”

Doocy then explained that Bondi’s replacement is Todd Blanche, who is currently serving as her second in command, though he will only be stepping in as an interim AG. The FNC personality said, “And in an interim role, she will be replaced by Todd Blanche, who is currently her deputy at the Justice Department.”

Adding to that explanation, Doocy noted that President Trump would be announcing the news sometime soon, but in any case, Blanche will not be the long-term attorney general pick for the administration. He said, on those points, “So it doesn’t sound like Blanche is being elevated long term to the Attorney General. There might be somebody else that the President wants to go in there, but President Trump soon will announce to the entire world that it is the end of Pam Bondi’s time as the attorney general.”

Concluding on a somewhat positive note, Doocy said, “He still thinks that she is a great person and that she did a good job, and he still wants her in the fold, because she will still be an important part of the administration, he tells me, but no longer as the top law enforcement officer of the United States that at least for a little while, is going to be Todd Blanche.”

Less positively, Trending Politics News’s Collin Rugg revealed, “Pam Bondi has been fired as attorney general, according to Fox News. EPA Director Lee Zeldin is reportedly under consideration to replace her. According to Fox, President Trump met in the Oval Office with Bondi before his speech last night. ‘One of those sources said that by the time Trump took his place behind the podium for the address, Bondi had already lost her job and was on her way back to Florida,’ Fox News reported. Bondi’s firing comes after she was heavily criticized for the handling of the Epstein files.”
