Border Czar Tom Homan Sounds Off, Fires Back after the Catholic Church Attacks His Border Defense Policies

Border Czar Tom Homan, a lifelong Catholic and courageous ally to the President, fired off an epic retort to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Pope Leo XIV for condemning Trump’s mass deportation policy. Homan declared that “The Catholic Church is wrong” and urged the church to “fix itself” before criticizing U.S. law.

Continuing his diatribe, the Border Czar pointed out church leaders’ hypocrisy for protecting Vatican grounds while opposing border enforcement. Building out his argument, Homan insisted that securing borders and deportations save lives by deterring cartel smuggling and fentanyl deaths.

Beginning his comments, Tom Homan declared, “The Catholic Church is wrong.” He pointed out, “I’m sorry. I’m a lifelong Catholic. I’m saying it not only as a border czar — I’ll say it as a Catholic. They need to spend time fixing the Catholic Church, in my opinion.”

Building up to a crescendo, Homan noted the church’s clear double standard, saying, “So, according to them, the message we should send to the whole world is that if you cross the border illegally, which is a crime, don’t worry about it.”

Continuing, he said, “If you get ordered removed by a federal judge after due process, don’t worry about us, because there should not be mass deportations. Is that the message you send to the whole world?” adding, “Secure border saves lives. I wish the Catholic Church would understand that.”

Concluding his comments, Homan put the biased leaders back in their place. “We have a right to secure our borders, just like they have a right to secure their facility. You can’t enter their facility without getting arrested. The penalties for entering their facility are much worse than ours,” the border Czar declared.

Homany made his comments in partial response to an ill-considered rant from Pope Leo XIV. The report called for “deep reflection” about the way illegal immigrants are being treated, noting “The spiritual needs of those in detention needed to be respected.”

Additionally, he begged for “The spiritual rights of people who have been detained should also be considered.” In comments which were more suited for MSNBC than the pulpit, he alleged, “Many times they’ve been separated from their families. Many people who have lived for years and years and years, never causing problems, have been deeply affected by what is going on right now.” Also, he vowed to “stand with” migrants.

Likewise, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops issued an out-of-touch statement which announced,“We feel compelled now in this environment to raise our voices in defense of God-given human dignity. We oppose the indiscriminate mass deportation of people.”

Doubling down, these woke bishops noted, “We pray for an end to dehumanizing rhetoric and violence, whether directed at immigrants or at law enforcement. We as Catholic bishops love our country and pray for its peace and prosperity.”

Wrapping up the progressive catholic leaders, said, “We are saddened by the state of contemporary debate and the vilification of immigrants. Immigrants have made enormous contributions to the well-being of our nation. We will continue to advocate for meaningful immigration reform.”
