BOOM: Trump Administration Launches New Move to Report Illegal Aliens in Public Housing

Speaking in a powerful press conference delivered from Memphis on Monday, November 24, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner announced that the Trump Administration is creating a tip line that will let residents report illegal aliens or wanted criminals who are using public housing.

As background, Secretary Turner previously revealed that the Trump Administration is taking action to block illegal aliens from using public housing like Section 8, so that such public benefits can be reserved for needy American citizens rather than frittered away for the benefit of illegal aliens.

Now, as part of that push to ensure the illegal aliens cannot access such public housing benefits, the tip line is being created so that the investigation and enforcement part of the process can be partially outsourced, with those who see wanted criminals or illegal aliens illegally using the public housing able to call in to report it and get them arrested.

Announcing the awesome tip line creation during his speech, while flanked by both Attorney General Pam Bondi and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Secretary Turner explained that this move will help the administration keep the public, including those in public housing units, safe.

He said, on that point, “At HUD, we do believe that public housing should be safe. We believe that, and that’s our conviction. A safe community starts with safe housing. If the housing is safe, the community is safe, and we want to take good care of the most vulnerable people in our country.”

Continuing, Secretary Turner explained that the newly created tip line will allow those who are residents of public housing to call in to the HUD Office of the Inspector General to report “criminals, illegal aliens, sex offenders, human traffickers, and those guilty of gang activity, drug distribution, and fraud.”

The tip line will first be rolled out in Memphis, where the Memphis Housing Authority that will oversee it serves more than 9,700 households who are on some sort of federal rental assistance program, and has a budget of $1.7 million. Summarizing the program and what the administration is hoping for, Secretary Turner said, “Here’s our message: Protect your home. Protect your family. If you see it, if you hear about it, report it.”

Also commenting on the tip line and its importance during the presser was AG Bondi, who explained that her Department of Justice is not going to allow illegal alien gangsters and other ne’er-do-wells to terrorize Americans any longer, and so the tip line will be used to help drive such awful elements out of public housing and hold them accountable for their crimes, keeping Americans safe.

Explaining as much, the attorney general said, “We cannot allow criminals — whether gangs, traffickers, or illegal aliens — to terrorize our communities, especially in places meant to protect the vulnerable like public housing. This tip line is a tool to empower residents and hold perpetrators accountable.”
