The Christian-based fundraising site GiveSendGo, conservative alternative to the leftist GoFundMe, has raised over $2 million and counting for beleaguered former Marine Daniel Penny in an effort to stop the corrupt Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg from imprisoning him for defending subway passengers.
Many of the donations have come in the form of $10, $15, $20, and $25 increments, a sign that Americans largely stand by Penny, recognizing simultaneously his heroism and Bragg’s blatant partisan hackery.
However, many notable celebrities have contributed larger amounts to Penny’s defense fund, including outspoken musician Kid Rock. Writing a check for $5,000, he added a note blasting Bragg.
“Mr. Penny is a hero. Alvin Bragg is a POS,” Kid Rock said in a memo alongside the donation.
And, as noted, Kid Rock wasn’t the only personality to step up to the plate and recognize that this is a do-or-die moment for freedom in America from leftist tyranny.
“I just donated $20,000 to Daniel Penny’s Defense fund,” podcaster Tim Pool, a former leftist, tweeted earlier on the same day.
“Penny is the Subway Good Samaritan and we are lucky to have brave souls like him who are willing to do the right thing,” Pool continued. “I will elaborate on my position in my morning segment at 10am.”

And, whereas former president Donald Trump has mostly been quiet on Penny’s persecution, presumed GOP presidential contender and current Florida governor Ron DeSantis commented on the moment in a show of unrelenting support.
“We must defeat the Soros-Funded DAs, stop the Left’s pro-criminal agenda, and take back the streets for law abiding citizens. We stand with Good Samaritans like Daniel Penny. Let’s show this Marine… America’s got his back,” DeSantis tweeted.

Kid Rock’s donation and memorable message are far from his only forays into the political and culture wars now ravaging the nation. A few weeks ago, he hilariously went viral after reacting to Bud Light’s brief ad campaign that included transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Viewers were treated in that video to a spate of Bud Light cases getting lit up by a fiery hale of bullets, courtesy of Kid Rock’s unrelenting trigger fingers.
As Trending Politics reported, the case before Penny stems from an encounter on a New York City subway car several days ago. Trending Politics also noted the steep legal consequences he faces in the far-left borough, writing:
The charges against Penny were filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, after Neely, a homeless man with a history of arrests, died following an altercation where Penny subdued him on a subway train. Bragg, the well-known DA, has been popularized for his political persecution and indictment against former President Donald J. Trump.
Penny’s defense team argues that he acted to protect other passengers who were being threatened. The law firm started the defense fund, which has garnered significant support on the crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo. The funds will be used to cover Penny’s legal fees and potential civil lawsuits, with any excess being donated to a mental health advocacy program in New York City.
If convicted, Penny could face a maximum sentence of five to 15 years in prison. He has been released on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court again in July.
