Bookstore Removes Stephen King Books in Response to His Horrific Smear of Charlie Kirk after Kirk’s Assassination

After the infamous woke author Stephen King made a callous post mocking the death of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, he faced massive backlash from politicians and ordinary citizens alike for his remarks, and some retailers announced they were pulling his books from shelves.

For context, UK-based bookstore Belfast Books condemned the “abhorrent and ill-informed comment,” stating they thought “so much more” of King and would remove his books from their store. They slammed his half-hearted apology and suggested a donation to a relevant charity.

In any case, the controversy began with a memorial post from conservative influencer Jesse Watters. He took to social media to note, “Charlie Kirk was not a ‘controversial’ or ‘polarizing’ man. Charlie was a PATRIOT. THIS is a turning point and we all need to turn in the right direction. Rest in peace, my friend.”

In a snarky response, which launched a massive backlash from concerned members of the public, Stephen King repeated tired leftist lies about the slain conservative. The woke author alleged, “He advocated stoning gays to death. Just sayin’.”

Responding to this dishonest reaction, Belfast Books made a flurry of posts to social media, blasting King. The bookstore said, “We thought so much more of you @StephenKing and even though this may harm us financially we’re removing all your books from our website.”

After a massive backlash, Stephen King was forced to recant, saying, “I apologize for saying Charlie Kirk advocated stoning gays. What he actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages.”

Still not done, the courageous book retailer noted that King’s apology was sincerely lacking, saying it was “Absolute abhorrent and ill-informed comment in the first instance that an inchoate apology doesn’t begin to cover. Go further. It was far from a fulsome apology and if Mr King was truly remorseful he should donate some money to a US charity that supports victims and families of gun violence.”

Other figures, such as Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT): slamed the cakkous comments. The Utah republican said, “Please share if you agree that the estate of Charlie Kirk should sue Stephen King for defamation over this heinously false accusation. He’s crossed a line. It will prove costly.”

Rounding out the condemnation, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), noted, “You are a horrible, evil, twisted liar. No, he did not. Your party—which you shamelessly shilled for—sent $100 billion to the Ayatollah… who does routinely murder homosexuals. Why are you so dishonest & filled with hate?”

According to one conservative on social media, King is facing professional backlash for his comments. One reporter alleged, “Inside source close to Hollywood author Stephen King told me that King feels as if he made ‘The mistake of his lifetime’ after falsely claiming Charlie Kirk wanted gays stoned which is leading to King’s first time being canceled in his career.”

Reacting to these wild remarks, famous economist Robert Murphey joked, “At first, I assumed King was just being sneaky. But no, apparently King believed Charlie Kirk openly advocated stoning gay people. I loved his fiction: King got inside the head of Cujo and explained a rabid dog’s motivations with more understanding than he reports on Christians.”
