Actress and Hollywood “it” girl Sydney Sweeney gave a big thanks to all of the U.S. troops for their service while also sending well-wishes to her brother who is currently deployed abroad with the Air Force. Sweeney shared a photo of her brother in a post published on Instagram Stories, writing, “Receiving calls from my bro always makes me happy when he’s deployed.”
“Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love! Thank you for your service,” she continued. Sydney’s brother, Trent Sweeney, has “served in an Air Force munitions squadron since about 2020, and was promoted to a staff sergeant in Aug. 2025.” A report from the New York Post added, “He has been deployed overseas several times since, and it remains unclear whether his current deployment has anything to do with the war in Iran.”
Another report published by CNN revealed that close to a thousand soldiers who serve in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division are prepared to deploy sometime soon to the Middle East, according to two sources close to the matter. President Donald Trump has stated that the United States is currently in negotiations with Iran to bring the current conflict to an end.
According to the report, “The contingent includes Maj. Gen. Brandon Tegtmeier, commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, and division staff, as well as a battalion of the 1st Brigade Combat Team which is currently acting as the division’s Immediate Response Force (IRF), the sources said. The initial elements of the division staff and battalion are expected to begin deploying within a week, one of the sources familiar said; other elements within the brigade are also expecting to deploy at a later date, though those expectations could change as the situation develops.”
Sydney Sweeney has become a big hit with conservatives over the last several years for various reasons. During the summer of 2025, the actress put out a series of ads for American Eagle Jeans that stirred up a bit of controversy for stating that she has “good jeans,” which was meant to be a reference to the product in the ads, but leftists took it as white supremacist due to the Euphoria star being white, blonde, and blue-eyed.
The American Tribune previously reported that when Sweeney refused to back down or make apologies for the ad, President Trump was thrilled, seeing her as an example of what it looks like to fight back against the woke mob and ideology infecting the country’s culture. Trump posted about the situation on Truth Social, noting that Sweeney is a registered Republican.
“Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there. It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are ‘flying off the shelves,’” Trump wrote. “Go get ‘em Sydney! On the other side of the ledger, Jaguar did a stupid, and seriously WOKE advertisement, THAT IS A TOTAL DISASTER! The CEO just resigned in disgrace, and the company is in absolute turmoil. Who wants to buy a Jaguar after looking at that disgraceful ad.”

Trump wasn’t done there. He then fired off a few wisecracks about how the left failed to learn anything from the Dylan Mulvaney debacle with Bud Light, a reference to when the beer giant hired the transgender influencer to help sell their product. “Shouldn’t they have learned a lesson from Bud Lite, which went Woke and essentially destroyed, in a short campaign, the Company. The market cap destruction has been unprecedented, with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SO FOOLISHLY LOST.”
