Blue State Senator Resigns in Disgrace after Getting Caught in the Act of Serious Felony during Sting

Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn has resigned from his position after he was caught trying to solicit an underage prostitute in a sting operation. Eichorn faced widespread condemnation from his colleagues and online commentators, who called for him to face punishment.

For context, Sen. Eichorn was elected to office in 2016 and made headlines for a bill that would have declared Trump derangement syndrome” a mental illness. Ironically enough, this bill was introduced the same day he was arrested for his sordid crime.

Reacting to the shocking crime and resignation, Republican Leader Mark Johnson slammed the shady politician. He said, “There is no question that these charges merit expulsion. We owe it to the public to hold our members to the highest standards, and this violation of the public trust is so severe we must act. It is my hope that this quick resolution gives Senator Eichorn time to focus on his family.”

Continuing the demolition, Minnesota DFL Executive Director Heidi Kraus Kaplan released a statement which read, “No one who solicits children belongs anywhere near public office or the State Capitol. The facts presented by the Bloomington Police Department make it clear that Senator Eichorn is an immediate danger to the public and must resign immediately.”

Exposing the story to even wider scorn, prominent conservative commentator Libs of TikTok posted the story to X on March 20, 2025. She said, “Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn (R) has officially RESIGNED after he was arrested for allegedly attempting to solicit a minor for prostitution. He was texting who he thought was a 17-year-old girl for s*x but it was really an undercover officer.”

Incensed by the scandal, social media users blasted Eichorn in the comments under her post. One user said, “There are dozens of elected GOP pedos out there, and all of them belong in prison. There are thousands of elected Democrat pedos out there, and all of them belong in prison. I’m 100% bipartisan on protecting children.”

Exposing the double standard shown by Democrats, one commentator added, “The difference between Ds and Rs is that when an R commits a crime, other Rs don’t defend them and want the law followed. When a D commits a crime all the other Ds circle the wagons and defend them.” Another said, “Example of the difference between Conservatives & Leftists: Conservatives are happy he was caught and prosecuted. Democrats would be bending over backwards to justify his behavior and claim it’s a political motivated operation.”

Rounding out the comments, many conservatives wished for harsh punishments regardless of party affiliation. One such comment said, “Any politician regardless of party needs to be held to a higher standard. Thank God this guy was caught and hopefully if found guilty sentenced to a very long term in prison. Now let’s see the same standard for ALL public figures Republican and Democrat.” Building on that point, another said, “Put him in jail forever to keep him away from his children.” “Lock him up and throw away the key,” another conservative said, reacting to the arrest.
