Blue State Senator Resigns from Senate in Disgrace after Federal Charges, Investigation into Crimes against Children

Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn has stepped down from his position after he was caught trying to solicit an underage girl in a sting operation. Eichorn faced widespread condemnation from his colleagues and online commentators, who called for him to face punishment.

For context, Sen. Eichorn was elected to office in 2016 and made headlines for a bill that would have declared Trump derangement syndrome” a mental illness. Ironically enough, this bill was introduced the same day he was arrested for his sordid crime.

According to local media, Eichorn texted the undercover officer a salacious message. He texted,  “Hey [fictitious name] I saw your post and (sic) chance you are still available tonight?” according to the complaint. When the cop didn’t respond, Eichorn allegedly texted again later that night and said “What’s a guy gota (sic) do to get with the hottest girl online tonight.”

As we reported, Republican Leader Mark Johnson slammed the shady politician. He said, “There is no question that these charges merit expulsion. We owe it to the public to hold our members to the highest standards, and this violation of the public trust is so severe we must act. It is my hope that this quick resolution gives Senator Eichorn time to focus on his family.”

Piling on with her condemnation, Minnesota DFL Executive Director Heidi Kraus Kaplan released a statement which read, “No one who solicits children belongs anywhere near public office or the State Capitol. The facts presented by the Bloomington Police Department make it clear that Senator Eichorn is an immediate danger to the public and must resign immediately.”

Reacting to the news, conservative pundit Juanita Broderick took to social media on March 18, 2025, to express her disgust. She wrote, “What a disgusting pervert. This is Republican MN state Senator, Justin Eichom, just arrested on attempting to meet a 16yo for sex. It was actually an undercover cop. He’s the dude who introduced the TDS bill. He’s in jail where he belongs.”

Enraged by his heinous acts, conservatives piled into the comments to express their righteous anger. One such comment read, “No one is above the law, especially those in power who try to push their twisted agendas on others. This is a perfect example of why we need to drain the swamp and hold our leaders accountable for their actions,” adding, “Glad to see justice being served, hopefully he will be held to the highest standard of accountability.”

Expressing sympathy for Eichorn’s family, one woman wrote, “He belongs in jail, no doubt. I hate seeing the wife and kids in the video though. I realize it’s one he released himself, but it should probably be taken down. I’m not sure what the best way to handle this is.”

Rounding out the comments, one woman wholeheartedly condemned the despicable politician. She stated, “Oh so he is a pedo! I wasn’t sure. I try not to judge by looking but I also know the left will set people up to make sure others stay quiet. But if it was a sting, he’s not going to enjoy prison. They have their own way of dealing with pedos.”
