Democrats in Washington state have once again demonstrated that their true loyalties lie not with the American people they are supposed to work for and represent, but for illegal aliens and migrants who are in the country, but not actual citizens, as they rushed through the approval for a new $20 million program that provides such individuals with healthcare.
However, a closer examination of the program’s expenditures reveals that the fund only provided coverage for 173 migrants, instead of the initial 300 of the 1,200 the program was designed to help. In other words, those 173 individuals received top shelf medical care paid for by millions of dollars pilfered from American taxpayers.
Democrats, along with their NGO migrant advocates, worked as partners to help shove through a healthcare bill that was allegedly supposed to provide 1,200 noncitizen residents in Washington with care. The state legislature, unshockingly controlled by Democrats, were quick to cast their votes in favor of funding the new program.
According to a report from Breitbart News, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which also worked hard to ensure the program was approved, revealed that the money is only enough to cover 173 noncitizens. Adam Glickman, the union’s secretary-treasurer, referred to that figure as both “disappointing” and “frustrating.”
Democratic lawmakers now claim that in order to cover the whole 1,200 group of noncitizens, the program will need to be funded by tens of millions of more dollars. The initial $20 million investment was intended to cover 300 noncitizens during the 2026-27 fiscal year. The money was drained before that number even hit 200.
Now, to even fund the whole 300, it could cost at least $100 million or more. To provide healthcare services for the rest of the 1,200 noncitizens could take an additional $100 million every year, according to Rep. Nicole Macri (D-WA). Democrats in the Evergreen State created the program because of the cuts made to Medicaid by the Trump administration, which ended coverage for noncitizens.
State Democrats have said that 14,000 noncitizens will be removed from the Medicaid program by October. The failure of the new program to fund healthcare for noncitizens losing federal funding has led to activists pushing for state Democrats to hand over millions of more tax dollars to pay for noncitizens’ healthcare. SEIU 775 leaders are now increasing the pressure on state Democrats to keep tossing millions of dollars into the program under the excuse that unionized home healthcare workers might lose their jobs.

However, Glickman says it might be an uphill battle to get further funding due to issues with budget overreach and deficits that are already negatively impacting Washington. “Getting the entire thing seems pretty challenging, given this budget situation. We are pushing for them to do as much as they can,” he went on to say. Conservatives say this is a prime example of the problem with socialism, which is that eventually, you run out of other peoples’ money.
