A Democratic state congressman from Rhode Island recently took to his X account where he decided to post what many consider to be a threat against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, promising a “day of reckoning” against the “motherf***ers” was coming. State Rep. Enrique Sanchez posted the threat on his account, where he also confessed that when it comes to U.S. immigration policies he’s “f***ed up in the head.”
“Fighting and dealing with ICE since last year has f***ed me up in the head after trying to protect and defend hundreds and hundreds of our community members in Providence and across Rhode Island,” the Democrat stated in the post. “Your day of reckoning will come motherfuckers. I swear to god,” his post then went on to say.
Strangely, the post has not yet been deleted, which seemingly indicates that Sanchez does not believe what he wrote was morally wrong. It’s also not the first time that the lawmaker has spewed forth vile hatred toward ICE on his social media account. In 2025, the state Republican Party demanded that Sanchez be censured for his constant, often violence-tinged attacks on ICE.
According to a report from Breitbart News, state Republicans said that Sanchez constantly refers to federal immigration officers as “Nazis” and “thugs.” The GOP then put him on blast for attending protests where he attempted to provoke ICE agents and interfere with their law enforcement operations. Sanchez was also busted for driving while intoxicated in February 2026.
He received little to no punishment, however, thanks to a behind-the-scenes deal that allowed him to plead guilty to a minor offense. According to the American Immigration Council, a left-wing organization, immigrants are almost 15% of the population in Rhode Island, but somehow make up 17% of the state’s workforce.
As one can imagine, the comment section on Sanchez’s post was full of passionate responses from folks on both sides of the immigration debate. However, conservatives were quick to flood the replies with plenty of support for ICE and President Donald Trump’s America First agenda. “Oooooh is that a threat tough guy? FBI will be interested in this,” one user wrote.
“Maybe stop fighting an agency that has been around way longer than you’ve been in office dips**t,” another user went on to say. “If people do not wish to interact with ICE while being in the country illegally, there is an app for that. Self deport, collect cash and have the opportunity to come back the right way. Elected officials should know that government employees do the jobs assigned by them. Like ICE,” someone else wrote.

“God don’t hear you boy. You ain’t gonna do S**T! The hundreds of ‘community members’ you want to protect are gang members and pieces of S**T we want out of this country anyway. F**K YOU and your ideology. You better be the one watching your own a** before we deport YOU,” user Kent stated in a rather fed-up-with-you reply in the comment section.
