A former democratic congressman is about to finish his prison sentence for electoral fraud. Michael “Ozzie” Myers was sentenced to serve 30 months in prison for federal election fraud. The Department of Justice (DOJ) says that the fraudulent actions go back to at least 2014. Myers pleaded guilty to conspiracy to deprive voters of civil rights, bribery, obstruction of justice, falsification of voting records, and conspiring to illegally vote in a federal election.
This scheme was designed to increase vote counts for certain democratic candidates in Pennsylvania. Candidates, most often judges, would pay Myers a ‘consulting fee’ to tamper with the vote tally. After Myers, 79, was sentenced, he was immediately taken into custody. Ozzie Myers’s actions were highly controversial, and many conservatives publicly denounced his corruption.
The DOJ issued a statement on September 27, 2022. The Justice Department explained how, “Myers would solicit payments from his clients in the form of cash or checks as ‘consulting fees,’ and then use portions of these funds to pay election officials to tamper with election results.”
However, the congressman was not the only elected official involved in the scam, The DOJ said, “Myers also admitted to conspiring to commit election fraud with another former Judge of Elections for the 39th Ward, 2nd Division in South Philadelphia. Myers’ accomplice was the de facto Judge of Elections and effectively ran the polling places in her division by installing close associates to serve as members of the Board of Elections. Myers admitted that he gave his accomplice directions to add votes to candidates supported by him.”
US Attorney Jacqueline Romero issued a statement on the sentencing. She said, “Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. If even one vote has been illegally cast or if the integrity of just one election official is compromised, it diminishes faith in process. This defendant used his position, knowledge of the process, and connections to fix elections for his preferred candidates, which demonstrates a truly flagrant disregard for the laws which govern our elections. He will now spend 30 months in prison as penalty for his crimes.”
Jacqueline Maguire, an FBI special agent added her thoughts. She said, “Protecting the legitimacy of elections is critical to ensuring the public’s trust in the process. Through his actions, Ozzie Myers pointedly disdained both the will of Philadelphia voters and the rule of law. He’s now a federal felon twice over, heading back behind bars, with time to consider the great consequence of free and fair elections,” Maguire added.”
Donald Trump took to Truth Social to share his feelings. The president said, “An interview by Tucker Carlson of an election expert indicates that 20% of the Mail-In Ballots in Pennsylvania are fraudulent. Here we go again! Where is the U.S. Attorney General and FBI to INVESTIGATE? Where is the Pennsylvania Republican Party? We will WIN Pennsylvania by a lot, unless the Dems are allowed to CHEAT. THE RNC MUST ACTIVATE, NOW!!!”

Other users echoed the President’s remarks. Another account said, “It was the same thing in Missouri this February they found almost 60,000 votes and 23,000 of those or dead people. We will never have a fair election until there are checks and people actually give a sh*t.” One reply read, “RNC should have handled this LONG ago. They need to get moving. Michigan also needs attention. Whitmer and Benson are Communists trying to cheat again and keep RFK on ballot – when he withdrew already.”
