Beloved Fox News Host Makes Exciting, Life-Changing Family Announcement

Fox News personality Lisa Kennedy Montgomery has married fiancé Fred Berman, celebrating what she called an “absolute dream come true” in a seaside ceremony in Hawaii. Kennedy, known simply by her last name to viewers, announced the news by sharing newlywed photos on social media. The wedding begins a new chapter for the longtime television personality nearly a year after she surprised her Fox News colleagues with news of her engagement.

Kennedy and Berman exchanged vows Monday at the Four Seasons Resort in Lanai, surrounded by the island’s striking ocean scenery. The ceremony was held outdoors, allowing the couple and their guests to look out over the water during the proceedings. Kennedy wore a traditional white wedding gown, while Berman selected a light blue suit for the occasion. The photographs captured the intimate ceremony far removed from the television studios where Kennedy’s audience is accustomed to seeing her.

Photographs shared after the wedding showed Kennedy and Berman smiling together during the ceremony and posing against the peaceful Hawaiian backdrop, as well as celebrating together around the resort following the ceremony. Kennedy confirmed the marriage on Instagram with a short statement that left no doubts about her happiness: “Married the love of my life,” she wrote.

The wedding followed Kennedy’s announcement on Fox News’ “The Five,” where she revealed that Berman had proposed and caught her colleagues by surprise. As Trending Politics reported, co-host Dana Perino became emotional while congratulating her longtime friend. The tender moment lent itself to the authenticity of the unexpected on-air announcement, and showcased the close relationship Kennedy has developed with her Fox colleagues over the years.

Kennedy offered more details about the wedding in a post on X, describing both her husband and the ceremony in glowing terms. “Marrying him is an absolute dream come true,” she wrote. “An incredible man, a magical day, and love and memories I will carry with me forever.” She also offered an unusual detail about the guest list, adding, “Fun fact: there were 5 engaged couples at our wedding!”

The 53-year-old television personality had kept much of her relationship with Berman private before announcing their engagement. She previously described him as someone who entered her life unexpectedly and “changed” it, while Berman has remained outside the public spotlight. His low public profile is quite the opposite of Kennedy’s decades in television, and meant that many viewers knew relatively little about the relationship before she revealed the engagement on “The Five.” The ceremony was Kennedy’s second marriage, as she was previously married to former professional snowboarder Dave Lee with whom she has two daughters.

Kennedy first became nationally known during the 1990s as an MTV host before moving into political commentary and television news. Her libertarian views, unmistakable delivery, and quick wit later made her a familiar figure to Fox viewers. She has appeared regularly on programs including “The Five” and “Outnumbered,” in addition to hosting her own Fox Business show, “Kennedy.” Her move from music television to political broadcasting has kept her in front of national audiences for over three decades.

Kennedy closed her wedding announcement with a characteristically playful line borrowed from Berman’s remarks at the rehearsal dinner. “As my husband said at the rehearsal dinner, the state of the marital union is strong,” she wrote. “Here’s to love!”
