“Baseless”: Letitia James Freaks Out Over New Criminal Referral in Hysteric Interview

Woke New York Attorney General Letitia James went on a public meltdown after Pam Bondi referred her for criminal charges in a falsified real estate case. According to Bondi, Letitia James falsely reported the location of her personal residence to secure favorable terms on a loan. Disputing the allegation, James said the charges were “baseless” and took aim at the president in a cheap attempt to distract from her alleged misdeeds.

For context, Letitia James was one of the key figures in the lawfare campaign against Donald Trump, having tried to fine him nearly $500 million in an obvious political witch hunt. The woke New York Democrat ironically claimed Trump falsified the valuation of his assets while applying for a loan, which was fully repaid.

Beginning her April 17, 2025, interview, James denied committing financial crimes. She said, “Let me just say to all New Yorkers and to all Americans: The allegations are baseless. The allegations are nothing more than a revenge tour. As you know, as any good attorney, I will not litigate this case [in front of] a camera.”

Building on that tenacious claim, the New York AG deflected away from her guilt. She declared, “It is important that we respond to these allegations at the appropriate time and in an appropriate way. I will not go back and forth with respect to these baseless allegations. I am more focused again on standing up for freedom, liberties, and the rule of law in the state of New York.”

Concluding her bizarre statements, the Democrat went over the details of her case against Trump. She stated, “My office was successful in securing a $450 million judgment against Donald Trump and others for exaggerating the value of his assets. I will not be silenced, I will not be bullied, I will not bend, I will not break, and I will not bow to anyone. No one is above the law.”

As we reported, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham revealed on an episode of “The Ingraham Angle,” how the Federal Housing Finance Administration began an investigation into NY AG James, leading to a criminal referral to the DOJ. She said, “The Federal Housing Finance Agency has sent a criminal referral to the DOJ accusing James of mortgage fraud, and in a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Director Bill Pulte says James appears to have falsified records in order to meet certain lending requirements and receive favorable loan terms.”

Adding to the case, Ingraham explored the details saying, “He cited a property in Virginia that she’s allegedly claimed as her principal residence and a property in New York that she claimed as a four-unit structure instead of the required, instead of a five, which Pulte says means she was able to get a different type and more favorable loan.”

Appealing to legal expert Jonathan Turley, she asked him how serious the potential charges were. He declared, “Well, obviously, the irony is perfectly crushing. This is a person who prosecuted Trump for everything short of ripping a label off a mattress. And among the charges that were brought in New York, not just the civil but the criminal case, was making false or misleading statements to the financial institutions.”

Concluding the segment, Turley described the evidence as “damning,” explaining, “And this has been prosecuted in the past. We have not heard her side of this, but these documents themselves are quite damning. It’s hard to see how the residences listed were her principal residence; the business about her father is just bizarre.”
