Actor Barry Newman, most well known for being the star of “Vanishing Point” and “Petrocelli” passed away on May 11 at the age of 92, while admitted to the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, according to information shared by his beloved wife.
According to a report from the Daily Caller, Newman’s bride, Angela, stated that while the actor was once diagnosed with vocal cancer back in 1999, he died from natural causes. Newman entered the world back in 1930 in Massachusetts and kicked off his acting career after attending a class taught by legendary acting coach Lee Strasberg when he was employed at Brandeis University, the New York Post said on Monday.
Newman scored his breakout role in the 1971 film, “The Lawyer,” which then provided him with numerous opportunities including a huge part on the NBC television series, “Petrocelli.”
