Kash Patel and Dan Bongino have confirmed significant changes to the FBI are coming soon. Each of these two conservative firebrands announced their commitment to punishing FBI agents who have compromised their morals or are using their power for political ends. FBI Director Kash Patel teased that significant announcements will be made in the upcoming weeks, shaking the deep state to its core.
For reference, Kash Patel, who Trump selected as the head of the FBI only recently, has long criticized the agency for its political bias. He has specifically called out the FBI for contributing to the Russiagate hoax and for allegedly playing a role in stoking the January 6 riots. Since he took control, Patel has made it a priority to clean up the damaged reputation of the FBI.
Kash Patel began his remarks by accepting responsibility for the FBI’s rampant political bias. His post, which was made on March 22, 2025, said, “I want the American public to know, too, that we have had problems at the FBI. We are going to hold ourselves internally accountable for those meeting justice, who have the privilege to serve and wear the gun in the badge or the uniform of the FBI out in the field where those missteps have been taken.”
Patel said he had fired agents guilty of these flaws and will continue to purge the FBI. He added, “We have already addressed that by eliminating those people from the roles of the FBI, and we will continue to vigorously uphold on a 24/7 365, basis, as vigorously as we pursue violent crime, those that abuse or corrupt or violate their oath of office at the FBI and I will not stand for I will have zero tolerance for those that we will utilize our badge to harm our country.”
Dan Bongino, the high-profile conservative podcaster who recently accepted a role as the deputy director, quoted Patel’s post with his message. He said, “Today is March 23, and it’s a bad day to be a bad guy in America. It’s a new day at the FBI.”
In the comments on Patel’s brave message, conservatives rallied to support his message. One user said that this had changed his opinion of the agency. He said, “I’ve been voting since Pres. Reagan’s 1st term, ya I’m old. lol I must say over the years, never seen such transparency, dedication & results! The FBI ran by Kash and Dan has renewed my faith and respect in the institution. I will start wearing my FBI sweatshirt again w/Pride 🇺🇸”

Other comments said that this could change Americans’ relationship with law enforcement. One of these comments read, “I’m saying this is a real game-changer. If the FBI is taking such measures, it clearly shows they want to restore full transparency and accountability. This could be the beginning of a completely new era in law enforcement.”
Some users argued for harsher punishments, saying that simply firing the agents wasn’t appropriate. One said, “We’ve been very lenient for many years, but unfortunately, corrupt individuals don’t learn from warnings. Therefore, I believe it’s time to take a firmer stance and give them the punishment these people deserve: JAIL! Imposing severe penalties could deter government officials from engaging in criminal activities, forcing them to RETHINK their actions!”
