After boldly asserting her position on the questionable validity of the 2020 presidential election during her own gubernatorial campaign, Arizona’s Kari Lake is now calling into question the veracity of her own loss. Her Democrat opponent Katie Hobbs was declared the winner by the slim margin of 50-49%.
Writing on Twitter, Lake posted: “Arizona’s know BS when they see it.”
Arizonans know BS when they see it.

Though not mentioned in this specific tweet, Lake was surely citing several very real problems with election day that were reported by Reuters. Reuters is certainly not a friend of the growing MAGA movement of which Lake was part.
Just a few hours into Election Day, Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer told reporters that about 20% of electronic vote tabulation machines in the state’s most populous county were malfunctioning, and technicians were being deployed to fix them.
Reuters continued:
The problem was that ballots were not lining up properly inside the machines and were not being read, Richer said, adding that despite the problems all votes would be counted. Richer called the malfunctions “disappointing” and correctly predicted that election deniers such as Trump would “exploit” the issue.
According to that reporting by the news outlet, 60 faulty machines, affecting fully one-quarter of all polling places, created issues for same-day voters. What’s more, a judge was asked to keep polling stations open longer than the 7pm deadline on account of the widespread problems, yet chose not to.
Conservative Review noted Lake’s outspokenness did not stop at just the 2020 contest. Lake also famously sparked controversy when she noted that curious tampering was in effect after she defeated the establishment’s preferred candidate, the Mike Pence-backed Karrin Taylor Robson.
Her election skepticism landed her the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, who had led the effort to recount and audit the votes of the 2020 election. During the Republican primary race in August, she prematurely declared victory against the close race with her opponent, Karrin Taylor Robson, and suggested the election officials intentionally delayed the race because they did not want her to win.
Lake made voting integrity a cental message during her campaign. When called out as an “election denier,” the epithet du jour of the corporate press, Lake pushed back hard, embarrassing reporters who thought they were doing God’s work by holding her accountable.
In a press event just days before the general election, Lake had a young intern hand her documents with comments ranging from Hillary Clinton and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre openly refusing to accept election results from not just the 2016 presidential race and 2018 Georgia gubernatorial race, but elections dating back to the time of George W. Bush defeating globalist tools like Al Gore and John Kerry.
Lake also went on the offensive in a Trump-like manner when it came to the purveyance of fake news. After her office was raided by someone, she blasted the media for covering up the truth and not reporting honestly on the matter. She said at the time:
I want you to take the same vigor you put into the story, the lies that were spread yesterday, and I want to make sure you guys saw last night, Fox 10 News. My old employer Wow.
They actually did more to protect the criminal in this case, they blurred his face. They protected Katie Hobbs because they’re carrying her water and they defamed me. They put defamatory statements lies about me.
And the reason they didn’t that they did that is because this was the real news yesterday that none of you want to cover, or 11 points up. You’re in a frenzied panic because your chosen candidate is not winning. You didn’t want to cover this so you had to run with a completely garbage bullshit story. Shame on each and every one of you. Shame on you.
