    Donald Trump has announced his intention to run for President of the United States of America in 2024.

    At his campaign opening event Tuesday night in Mar-a-Lago, which was televised by Newsmax,  Trump delivered a powerful speech as he sets the stage for his attempt to recapture his former seat in the Oval Office.

    The announcement began with Trump entering the venue alongside his wife former First Lady Melania Trump as “God Bless the USA” rang throughout the gala.

    Ladies and Gentlemen, distinguished guests, and my fellow citizens America’s comeback starts right now.

    China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea were in check. They respected the United States and quite honestly, they respected me.

    Benny Johnson of Newsman shared this clip from the speech, where Trump reminds listeners what the country was like before he was replaced by Joe Biden.

    The world was at peace, America was prospering, and our country was on track for an amazing future- because I made big promises to the American People and, unlike other Presidents, I kept my promises.

    There’s also this wonderful line about the wowing incompetence of Joe Biden.

     

    Now we have a president who falls asleep at global conferences.

    Trump didn’t quit after his Joe Biden comment and quickly moved his gaze onto recently dethroned Nancy Pelosi.

    The major takeaway after this speech is that Trump has not lost his fastball.

    In fact, a little bit of time away from the campaign trail seems to have done wonders for him.
