    American Citizen Thanks Trump for Helping Him, Wife Escape from War in Israel

    An American citizen who was stuck in Israel with his wife when the Hamas rockets started falling on the surrounded and embattled nation took to X, formerly Twitter, to praise something done by former president Donald Trump that he claims helped him get out of the country with his wife.

    That American citizen is Yitz Friedman, who works with the Washington-based American Accountability Foundation. According to his post on X, Mr. Friedman was in Israel over the weekend when the Hamas attack began, with fighters and rockets racing across the border and leading to the deaths of hundreds, if not more than 1,000 Israelis.

    Posting about the matter on X and describing how Trump’s Abraham Accords helped him, Mr. Friedman said, “I would like to thank President Trump. After days of fear and anxiety in Israel, I am finally on my way home to the US. Almost every airline canceled all flights, including our flight home. We we’re sure what to do.”

    Continuing, he added, “Luckily, one if the few airlines still running flights is Emirates. My wife and I just flew from Tel Aviv – passing three or four armed military checkpoints to get to the airport – and are now safe in Dubai waiting for our connecting flight to the US.”

    He then said, “If not for the Trump Abraham Accords, this would be unthinkable. There would be no flights from Israel to the UAE. To be able to fly to a friendly Arab country when even American flights won’t dare, at a time of war, is miraculous. Thanks to Trump’s efforts, thousands of American citizens have a way home from a very dangerous situation. Even as it seems the Middle East is imploding, this historic peace agreement is making things a little better.”

    Mr. Friedman has remained outspoken about the Israel-Hamas conflict since it began, discussing not just the situation inside Israel, but also the domestic situation in the United States and how mass migration has, in his opinion, led to a rise in anti-semitism and support for Palestine.

    In one post, for example, he claimed, “Spot on. The same people who endlessly recited the mantra “We need to fight them over there (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc) so we don’t need to fight them in the US” whenever their radical foreign policy was challenged literally imported terrorists and terror sympathizer into this country.”

    That came in response to a post from conservative Twitter personality Pedro Gonzalez, a DeSantis supporter, who said, “We spent decades operating under the doctrine, “We will fight them over there so we do not have to face them in the United States of America.” But terrorist attacks abroad have been celebrated in communities across the country by people who should not be here and do not even consider themselves Americans.”

    Gonzalez added, “Crenshaw almost recognizes this at the end of the clip when he complains about support for Hamas in the United States. And that’s the rub none of these people acknowledge: we essentially fought them over there only to bring them here when both parties relinquished control of our borders at the same time that we abandoned the remnants of shared national identity. Crenshaw’s solution is to throw more blood and treasure at the problem in a nation deeply divided and going bankrupt.”
