Fox News Channel’s star host, Greg Gutfeld, is absolutely dominating the cable ratings right now. In fact, he’s doing so well and so consistently beating his leftist competition at networks like CNN and MSNBC that Fox News Channel bought ad space during the Super Bowl in which it ran an ad declaring him the new “king” of cable.
And that consistent outperformance continued recently, with Gutfled crushing his competitor at The Daily Show, Sarah Silverman. In fact, according to viewership data that Gutfeld drew attention to on Twitter, Gutfeld averaged a whopping 2.1 million viewers whereas The Daily Show drew in only about 370,000 viewers on average.
Gutfled, quote tweeting that data and making a joke at Silverman’s expense, said “i would love to give
@SarahKSilverman pointers but the adorable lass blocked me ages ago.”

And that wasn’t just a one-time win for Gutfeld. He’s been crushing it consistently, as Mediatite recently reported, saying:
Fox News’s late-night comedy show, Gutfeld!, brought in 2.2 million total viewers on Tuesday night, beating its lead-in, The Ingraham Angle. Roseanne Barr joined Gutfeld! as a guest.
Gutfeld! was the 6th highest-rated show overall on cable news in total viewers and the 3rd highest-rated in the key 25-54 age demographic — behind Tucker Carlson and The Five — which was co-hosted by Greg Gutfeld.
In the 11 p.m. hour, Gutfled! crushed its cable news competition as CNN brought in only 371,000 total viewers and MSNBC scored 972,000.
On Monday, when Sarah Silverman guest-hosted her first episode of The Daily Show, she introduced herself right off the bat with a clip package of conservative commentators absolutely slamming her. But by Wednesday’s taping, it had become clear that Silverman’s power is in what she’s not saying. The affect that critics like Ben Shapiro have dubbed her “little girl voice” was nowhere to be found, though there was no lack of dirty words—like when she flubbed a joke about Kim Jong-un’s daughter’s name in a segment that didn’t make the final version of the episode. It is not “fuck me,” as she’d blurted out, but Kim Ju-ae. And then there was the part where she called a right-wing reporter a “beta cuck.”
