In a wild rant delivered during a press conference at the Torino Film Festival in Turin, Italy, far-left actress Sharon Stone went berserk and attacked Americans for being both “ignorant and arrogant.” That came as she snapped about America being, in her view, in its “adolescence” phase following the presidential election victory of now-President-elect Donald Trump.
Stone’s furious rant came when she, now 66 years old, was asked about the issue of violence against women. She used the question to go on about President-elect Trump, making less than subtle remarks about his presidentcy and character, along with what she fears about the upcoming administration.
Beginning, Stone responded to the question about women and violence by saying it is “a big one,” but then not answering it and instead delivering a rant about the need to “stop and think.” She said, “This question about the question of violence against women is– is a big one. And I think we have to really stop and think about things.”
Continuing, Stone immediately tied that to the presidential election by questioning if voters were really able to choose the government, saying, “And we have to stop and think about who we choose for government. And if, in fact, we are actually choosing our government or if the government is choosing itself.”
She then tried tying Trump to Italian fascism in not-so-subtle fashion, saying “You know, Italy has seen fascism. Italy has seen these things. You guys. You understand what happens.” That’s when she apologized for America, saying that it is “in its adolescence.” She said, “My country is in its adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant.”
Stone wasn’t done. Continuing, she tried to connect her framing of America as in its adolescent stage with what she sees happening, deriding her country on th epublic stage abroad and declaring Americans to be “naive and ignorant and arrogant.” She said, “Adolescence thinks it knows everything. Adolescence is naive and ignorant and arrogant. And we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence.”
Continuing, Stone went on to deride those Americans who don’t travel abroad, claiming such people are “uneducated,” and declaring, “We haven’t seen this before in our country. So Americans who don’t travel, who 80% don’t have a passport, who are uneducated, are in their extraordinary naïveté.” Watch her here:
Conservative X (formerly Twitter) personality Collin Rugg commented on Stone’s remarks in a post, saying, “JUST IN: American Actress Sharon Stone says Americans elected Donald Trump because they are dumb and don’t travel enough. The comments were made at the Torino Film Festival in Turin, Italy. Stone appeared to compare Trump to Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.”
Responding to Collin, another conservative X personality, Adam Johnson said, “‘Adolescence thinks it knows everything.’ Says the woman who thinks she knows everything.” Responding, Rugg noted that this is why Americans can’t stand the Hollywood elites, writing, “This comment is exactly why Americans loathe Hollywood celebs.”
Another commenter noted just how out of touch Stone is, saying, “Imagine thinking your out of touch opinion holds any weight to people who have been suffering and hurting financially for the last 4 years? At the rate these clowns are going, they’re going to hand us the 2026 Midterms and a 2028 JD Vance presidency. 😂”
