A federal judge in New York recently ordered that, after the fourteen days she left open for appeals, the names of more than 170 people connected to Jeffrey Epstein and involved in a defamation case between Virginia Guiffre and Ghislaine Maxwell, be released. That will likely happen on January 2nd of 2024, as the 14 day period will end on January 1, a public holiday.
Some of the names will likely remain sealed, as they are of victims and revealing them would “disclose sensitive information regarding an alleged minor victim of sexual abuse who has not spoken publicly and who has maintained his or her privacy.”
Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who was recently involved in demanding the Epstein flight logs be released in the Senate, an idea so far stopped by Sen. Dick Durbin, a Democrat, posted about Judge Preska’s ruling on X, saying, “The names of over 170 of Jeffrey Epstein’s high-profile associates are to be released in the first week of 2024. Accountability is coming.”
In a statement released after Sen, Durbin blocked her request for a release of the Epstein flight logs, Sen. Blackburn said, “This is a sad day in the history of the prestigious Judiciary Committee and further underscores the Left’s two tiers of justice crusade. Senate Democrats have long been trying to undermine the Supreme Court and Justice Clarence Thomas, but want to ignore Justice Sotomayor allegedly using her taxpayer-funded staff to coordinate speaking engagements in exchange for selling and promoting thousands of her books. They also don’t want to have a conversation about the estate of Jeffrey Epstein to find out the names of every person who participated in Jeffrey Epstein’s human trafficking ring.”
Sen. Blackburn initially made her request for the subpoenas in early November. “And since we’re in the business of issuing subpoenas now, here are a few more that I’ve filed: a subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate to provide the flight logs for his private plane,” Blackburn stated. “Given the numerous allegations of human trafficking and sexual abuse surrounding Mr. Epstein, I think it is very important that we identify everybody who was on that plane and how many trips they took on that plane and the destinations to which they arrived,” she added.
In any case, Sen. Blackburn wasn’t the only one on the right to celebrated Judge Preska’s ruling. Trump ally Roger Stone, for example, said, “Very excited that Epstein’s list will finally be public. I know one high profile Republican who will be on it and it is absolutely not me.”
Similarly, conservative X personality DC Draino said that those involved with Epstein are likely freaking out over the news the names will be released, saying (punctuation added), “🚨The names of more than 170 Epstein high-profile associates will be exposed in January. You hear that? It’s the sound of America’s most corrupt politicians and billionaires freaking out.”
Also joining in was Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch, who said (punctuation added), “Over 170 of Jeffrey Epstein’s high-profile associates will be NAMED in court documents set to be unsealed in the first days of 2024. A judge has ruled to unseal documents that would name 177 Does who are Epstein’s friends, recruiters and victims within the coming weeks. The material is related to a defamation case brought by Prince Andrew’s accuser Virginia Roberts in New York against Epstein’s madam Ghislaine Maxwell. The hundreds of files will shed new light on the late financier’s sex trafficking operation and his network of influence.”
